If we'd swapped opponents, there'd be two NH sides in the semis.
Ah well .....

What a game. Different ref might well have been a different outcome. Constantly shouted at the saffers two or three times to stop what they were doing at it slowed down the French attack as they planned. But if you can do it, why wouldn’t you.
The two evening semifinals were a different level of rugby to the two afternoon games.

And are there two g’s in Bugger Off?

Cancer of rugby are going to win another World Cup. FFS.
I thought they were just going to have a few crashes and then kick out... like everyone does in those situations! "Here, France, have one last crack."
Sadly, they were apparently out of steam. Had no ideas ... though I reckon there was some ops to go wide a few times. Sorry to see France go out. :(

Hard luck France. What a quarterfinal.
Bok bevok.
Bok bevok.
Agreed. Some brilliant through play there by the Boks, getting the ball deep into France territory. Nothing cancerous about that. Deserved the win.Sandstorm wrote: ↑Sun Oct 15, 2023 8:57 pmYou sour grapeScarfaceClaw wrote: ↑Sun Oct 15, 2023 8:56 pm Cancer of rugby are going to win another World Cup. FFS.
Well done Saffers, well done. Couldn’t have been a more South African display, belligerent fuckers.
Genuinely the worst reffing display I have seen at this level but don’t think it favoured any team really, just unacceptable though.
Full semis coming up but the final should be a cracker.
You’ve got to laugh at us NH’ers really. Talk ourselves up but when push come to shove the SH come through

Ref was outstanding again.
Very clearly went to slap it backwards.
He did it knock it on at the ruck toward the end when it squirted out the side for SA to regather, mind.
Gutted France lost that, losing Ntamack ultimately the thing that torpedoed their chances in this tournament. Love how they play the game and would've really enjoyed watching them play England. Instead we get the worst team in the world to play against. Great.
I suppose a NZ-SA final has some merit but blech.

Holy fuck what a game! It was like watching a RWC final. At least as good as the AB/Ire quarters.
Any of these 3 teams deserves the title. Pity 2 of them had to view out.
A NZ/SA final or a Fra/Ire final would've been fitting and a fair reflection of the top tier nations in rugby right now.

So is anyone going to snap up Shaun Edwards after this?
Kingsley Jones probably needs a defence coach in Canada.

What a game. So many spectacular scenes.
Really feel sorry for France, commiserations.

Don't write South Africa off just yet.
