I think he said something along the line of “make sure we re all ready if it’s a draw”

Win's a win and it will go in the record books as a third place RWC finish, but boy was that desperate.
Not sure I can cope with several more years of Borthers.

It's just no fun at all to watch.Margin__Walker wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 8:58 pm Win's a win and it will go in the record books as a third place RWC finish, but boy was that desperate.

Its just so depressing...we are going to be a plaything for the other 6N teams.sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 9:04 pmIt's just no fun at all to watch.Margin__Walker wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 8:58 pm Win's a win and it will go in the record books as a third place RWC finish, but boy was that desperate.

It's really not. Winning is clearly important, but all we've done here is beat teams ranked lower than us. Playing the least engaging style of rugby I can possibly imagine.sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 9:04 pmIt's just no fun at all to watch.Margin__Walker wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 8:58 pm Win's a win and it will go in the record books as a third place RWC finish, but boy was that desperate.

Would have been fine last season as I could retreat back to watching LI play heads up, but It's all there is now (as I'm sure you can relate to!).
Just amazing watching a team, where every play is about the kick setup and every ruck takes 5 seconds+. The one occasion they did try to use the ball they had no idea what they were trying to do with it.
Jeez, that was a shithouse 2nd half from England.sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 9:04 pmIt's just no fun at all to watch.Margin__Walker wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 8:58 pm Win's a win and it will go in the record books as a third place RWC finish, but boy was that desperate.

What is the point of playing Arundel if you don't even give him the ball.
3 Fly halves on the pitch and they still can't pass along the backline or make a break.
Looks like watching England games is back to the usual, get teed off and turn off the TV at halftime.

We're an awful rugby team and closer to 13th in the world than 3rd to my eyes..... But a decent banter run in this RWC and it's riled up plenty of opposing fans which is the main thing

Best performing Six Nations side in the RWC by some distance. They can’t take it.el capitan wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 9:15 pm We're an awful rugby team and closer to 13th in the world than 3rd to my eyes..... The composition of the backline at that point just shows there's no consideration for actually trying to use the ball.Glaston wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 9:13 pmJeez, that was a shithouse 2nd half from England.sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 9:04 pmIt's just no fun at all to watch.Margin__Walker wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 8:58 pm Win's a win and it will go in the record books as a third place RWC finish, but boy was that desperate.

Yeah, I think he’s the man for England for the next World Cup cycle.Slick wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 9:41 pmI honestly think you need to give him a chancesockwithaticket wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 9:04 pmIt's just no fun at all to watch.Margin__Walker wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 8:58 pm Win's a win and it will go in the record books as a third place RWC finish, but boy was that desperate.

His Leicester team were boring as fuck and so have England been. Pundits in the English game openly talk about this being his style of rugby. We might start executing it a bit better, but we could give him another 2 months or another 20 years and I'm pretty sure he'd have England playing the same dull, zero-risk anti-rugby.Slick wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 9:41 pmI honestly think you need to give him a chancesockwithaticket wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 9:04 pmIt's just no fun at all to watch.Margin__Walker wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 8:58 pm Win's a win and it will go in the record books as a third place RWC finish, but boy was that desperate.

I don't expect us to suddenly turn into prime France or Scotland, but looking like we have a plan other that actually involves occasionally trying to pass to a winger or engineer a line break would be nice.

Yeah, Gonzales is built a bit different. Stuck the landing and set off
Just a fun, unorthodox player to watch.

I know, but look what he inherited and he’s only been there for a few months. They were easily the worst England team in my lifetime and, with pretty much the same players, he got to within a point of SA in a WC SF. He didn’t have time to change the players so I think he’s done OK. He’s a very inexperienced coach and his team are even less experienced. I think you have to at least give him a go.sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 9:46 pmHis Leicester team were boring as fuck and so have England been. Also, I’m not sure where this vision of England as an expansive attacking team is coming from, you’ve always been dull as fuck
