Andre Braugher has died at the age of only 61 after a brief illness.

Only 61  RIP

Never seen Brooklyn Nine-Nine but I'm actually currently rewatching Homicide: Life on the Street where he was superb as Det, Frank Pembleton so going to be a bit poignant continuing with that.

Just came up on my news feed - so sad.

Genuinely think that Brooklyn Nine Nine was one of the top comedy's out there - and Holt was a wonderfully realised character played brilliantly by Braugher.

What an absolute shame.

Where are you watching Homicide? I've not been able to find it anywhere on streaming.

Also you should definitely watch Brooklyn 99, he's fantastic in it

I got the boxset of Homicide many years ago, the quality of transfer isn't that good but as you say it's near impossible otherwise. As for Brooklyn 99 - only on Netflix here afaik which I have no intention of subscribing to...

This guy was one terrific actor. His dead eyed blank, vacant stares when Peralta did something stupid were just world class.

Goodbye dad...I mean captain...huh..what did you say? Lol.
