SCOTUS have said they will hear the case on whether or not the orange Traitor is disqualified by the 14th amendment !
Now we have to see if Thomas will disqualify himself, on account of his wife, you know, being neck deep in that plot to overturn a legitimate election; my money is on him claiming that that doesn't totally compromise himself.

What seems to be a reasonable article on some of the nuances of Trump's appeal to the Supremes regards being barred from the Colorado ballot.fishfoodie wrote: ↑Fri Jan 05, 2024 10:31 pm SCOTUS have said they will hear the case on whether or not the orange Traitor is disqualified by the 14th amendment !

The bottom line is that if any of the Republican appointed Supremes are going to rule in his favor, they'll have to disappear up their own arseholes with their hypocrisy.Flockwitt wrote: ↑Sat Jan 06, 2024 8:21 pmWhat seems to be a reasonable article on some of the nuances of Trump's appeal to the Supremes regards being barred from the Colorado ballot.fishfoodie wrote: ↑Fri Jan 05, 2024 10:31 pm SCOTUS have said they will hear the case on whether or not the orange Traitor is disqualified by the 14th amendment !

They are either Literals, or Originalists, or Textualists, or whatever they call themselves, & they all swear they belief in State Rights, & if they rule that a State can't decide, based on a clear piece of the Constitution, that an individual that participated in an insurrection against the United States, cannot hold high office.
Again, if Thomas is allowed any hand act or part in the decision, the whole thing is a fucking farce, & if Gorsuch votes in favor of the Traitor, when the Colorado court used his fucking decision in a lower court to bar an insurrectionist, on this very grounds, & without need of any criminal conviction, then he should just retire to a back room with a bottle of Brandy & a revolver, because he has sold his soul to the devil.
There are so many potential angles on this I suspect they'll find some get out of jail card.fishfoodie wrote: ↑Sat Jan 06, 2024 8:36 pmThe bottom line is that if any of the Republican appointed Supremes are going to rule in his favor, they'll have to disappear up their own arseholes with their hypocrisy.Flockwitt wrote: ↑Sat Jan 06, 2024 8:21 pmWhat seems to be a reasonable article on some of the nuances of Trump's appeal to the Supremes regards being barred from the Colorado ballot.fishfoodie wrote: ↑Fri Jan 05, 2024 10:31 pm SCOTUS have said they will hear the case on whether or not the orange Traitor is disqualified by the 14th amendment !

They really don't need one, because whether the Traitor is on the ballot or not, their position is secure !Flockwitt wrote: ↑Sat Jan 06, 2024 8:39 pmThere are so many potential angles on this I suspect they'll find some get out of jail card.fishfoodie wrote: ↑Sat Jan 06, 2024 8:36 pmThe bottom line is that if any of the Republican appointed Supremes are going to rule in his favor, they'll have to disappear up their own arseholes with their hypocrisy.Flockwitt wrote: ↑Sat Jan 06, 2024 8:21 pm

Now if they wanted to thread the needle, & not sell their souls, what the could do is say; "Yes !, he is clearly an insurrectionist, & as such is automatically disbarred from running for office" ..... ...... ........ "and this is our Legal, Textual interpretation of the Constitution, but; the amendment offers a remedy in that the candidate just needs secure the vote of two thirds of the House to be put on the ballot"
They don't cross the separation of powers, they don't have to reverse ferret, they kick to touch, by forcing it back to where it belongs, the Politicians !
And oddly enough, I thing there are plenty of Dems who'd love that; not because they can exclude the Traitor, but because they can present a shopping list of items the GOP will have to wave thru in return for the getting the most toxic possible GOP candidate on the ballot; think Supreme court forced terms, & re-balancing the existing court, Roe v Wade back in place, a blank cheque for Ukraine, an end to the gerrymandering in the Red States to disenfranchise black voters, the list is almost endless.
I've never been to Florida, but it sounds like the Cesspit State of America tbh...

I will be attending the the Federal Appeals Court Arguments on Presidential Immunity in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday. Of course I was entitled, as President of the United States and Commander in Chief, to Immunity. I wasn’t campaigning, the Election was long over. I was looking for voter fraud, and finding it, which is my obligation to do, and otherwise running running our Country. If I don’t get Immunity, then Crooked Joe Biden doesn’t get Immunity, and with the Border Invasion and Afghanistan Surrender, alone, not to mention the Millions of dollars that went into his “pockets” with money from foreign countries, Joe would be ripe for Indictment. By weaponizing the DOJ against his Political Opponent, ME, Joe has opened a giant Pandora’s Box.

For once the looser traitor isn't the one saying the batshit crazy stuff in the room.
His lawyer just answered the hypothetical question posed by one of the Appeal Court Judges, as to whether or not a President legally order a SEAL team to assassinate a political rival, & the lawyer said he could

They're just the glove puppets.
If you want to usefully use a few predator drones, you vaporize the Murdocks, Kochs, & Crows of this world, & then nuke a few palaces in the ME.
The last decade or two has been the top 0.000000000000000001% using their money to manipulate Democracies; there's no need for wars to redress the balance, just a little culling.

I'm not entirely convinced that the bizarre level of devotion Swifties have for their overlord isn't some sort of CIA pysop that got out of hand.
Chris Christie has dropped out of the race...
Pressed by a voter on Tuesday about the urgency of anti-Trump Republicans to unite around a single opponent, Christie again questioned Haley’s intentions – and expressed anxiety over how endorsing her might reflect on him.
“Let’s say I dropped out of the race right now and I supported Nikki Haley. And then three months from now, four months from now, when you’re ready to go to the convention, she comes out as his vice president. What will I look like? What will all the people who supported her at my behest look like?” he said.

It is most likely the other way around. There's a disturbing amount of artwork out there from the MAGA gremlins portraying Mago Mussolini as supremely buff or shredded, meanwhile TSwift's obsessives are mostly (ostensibly) straight women.fishfoodie wrote: ↑Wed Jan 10, 2024 10:56 pmat least they all get a good solid wank out of it !sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Wed Jan 10, 2024 10:02 pmI'm not entirely convinced that the bizarre level of devotion Swifties have for their overlord isn't some sort of CIA pysop that got out of hand.

I AM HEADING TO THE GREAT STATE OF IOWA TO FULFILL A COMMITMENT MADE TO DO A BIG FOXNEWS TOWN HALL. TONIGHT, 9:00 P.M. Eastern! I WILL THEN BE FORCED TO CIRCLE BACK TO NEW YORK WHERE I WOULD LIKE TO PERSONALLY DO THE CLOSING ARGUMENT ON THE CIVIL TRIAL WHERE THE TRUMP HATING JUDGE AND ATTORNEY GENERAL ARE WORKING CLOSELY TOGETHER TO “SCREW ME,” EVEN THOUGH I HAVE DONE NOTHING WRONG. THIS IS A RIGGED AND UNFAIR TRIAL — NO JURY, NO VICTIMS, A GREAT FINANCIAL STATEMENT — JUST BEFORE THE IMPORTANT IOWA PRIMARY — ELECTION INTERFERENCE. JUDGE REFUSES TO ABIDE BY THE JUNE APPELLATE DIVISION DECISION WHICH GAVE ME A TOTAL VICTORY IN THIS WITCH HUNT!

Donald Trump will not deliver any part of the closing statements in the NY fraud trial after Judge Engoron called his bluff. Engoron asked that Trump follow basic rules of the court. Trump's lawyers refused.

There was a certain portion of the alt right that held her up as some sort of ideal Aryan woman (because she's hot and pale), but since she started encouraging her fan base to vote (not even for a particular party, just to vote) they've decided she's actually hellspawn or something.

Whatever your opinion of Haley, and the chance that she will be Trump's VP pick (IMO. extremely remote), this is about as good as it gets in explaining to a Republican Fox audience the need for continued US support for UkraineGumboot wrote: ↑Wed Jan 10, 2024 10:54 pm Chris Christie has dropped out of the race...
