So, assuming Darge is fit, it will probably be between Ritchie and Crosbie to start with the other on the bench. Huipulotu were in good fettle the other night so I expect them to start with Steyn on the wing.

Gilcho or Cummings is probably the only other call to be made.

Oh hang on, hooker is not set in stone, Mathews seems to have the best darts of the three available players, I’d be very tempted to start him.

I'd forgotten he was with GB Sevens.

Graham maybe not as bad as thought.

Should just have been Russell as captain IMO.

I'm not sure Darge has hit the heights at international level to be captain and all that comes with it and co captains are pish too.

Graham missing ‘at least’ the first two games with a quad problem.

The question in the backs is really whether we stick with the Glasgow 12/13 partnership or go with the Bath 10/12. I’m genuinely in two minds. I expect Toony will probably go with the former, as the Glasgow backs are purring at the moment.

I know I’m probably in the minority here, but I’d love to see Redpath and Jones together sooner rather than later. Nothing against Tuipolotu, but that could be a very complete partnership

I'd love to see that too but doubt it'll happen with him being on the bench today. He needs a big game to get that starting spot. Tbh though, any of those 3 starting is good with me.

Josh Bayliss had a good game today, though Willis was the backrow star. I realise that I left Fagerson out of the equation earlier. Toonie has the best kind of headache for those positions.

I've become a huge fan of Tuipulotu in the last 18 months, there isn't really too much he can't do.

I'm firmly in the same camp. When I first saw him play I thought he was a one-dimensional crash-ball merchant and not a particularly good one at that. How wrong I was.

I never figured out how to post a pic here, but I was amused a few minutes ago when I looked at the teams for Toulouse v Bath on the BBC site, and saw that apparently Cam Redpath was subbed on at loosehead prop.

Yeah, I heard that said in the comms, he's certainly hit the ground running.

It's mad that Willis and Kinghorn were in the same team today but only one of them will feature in the 6N

Same here, I couldn’t believe it when he first got capped, thought he was distinctly average when he first joined Glasgow.

Shows what I know about the game 😂

Sharks up by 8 with 10 mins to go.

Looking decent for Embra.

I think Edinburgh have finished 7th, so we play the 10th ranked club, which is one of the clubs that drop down from the Champions Cup, they are ranked 9, 10, 11.

edit, I think, but I'm very much open to correction on this, that we have Cardiff at the Hive for the round of 16.

edit, yes it is, so forget that about Cardiff

I think we get Sale?

Glasgow off to The Stoop ( at least its a lot easier to get to than Exeter )

Last time I saw Glasgow play Quins - Glasgow ran out easy winners 50 - 17 , with am eight try fest

Same result would be fine

I tied myself in knots trying to work out the fixtures from looking at the pool tables and the tournament rules.

Are Bayonne any good?

Not really since Glasgow beat them away in December

They run a bit hot and cold - good result against Exeter , when they had nothing to play for - They beat Racing 92 in December , but got tonked by Northampton Saints last week

Lost at home to Glasgow, drew away at Munster, grubbed away by Northampton, beat Exeter comfortably at home. Real mixed bag. 10th in the Top14 won five lost seven.

6000 turned up at Perth for the first preseason friendly , for the year that Glasgow made it to the pro 14 final

From my memory Niko Matawalu was unplayable that day

Hastings and Hurd out, Elliot Millar-Mills in.

Hastings appears to be made of biscuit unfortunately. Can't catch a break and lost a lot of ground on Healy as primary back up to Finn (assuming Kinghorn at 10 will be a 4 yearly RWC squad/summer v smaller nations event).

Millar-Mills? Knew the name was familiar. Thought it was that he had a spell with Edinburgh, but actually it’s because one of his sisters plays for England and one for Scotland.

Apparently he is going quite well for Saints?

Played a game or two for Edinburgh after Wasps went bust. So he's been known to the SRU.

Scottish Mum, and according to his Aunt who was replying to a twitter post (no "Scottish accents soon" type) still has plenty family up here.

He had an earlier stint with Edinburgh too, but barely played. The most significant amount of game time in his career came in his years with Ealing in the Championship.

Seems to have been fairly regular in Saints' matchday 23 this season and going well enough.

I don't know what your prop situation is, but it must be fairly dire if you're selecting a soon to be 32 year old who's mainly been bench fodder at Prem/URC level.

Frankly, no wonder. What a thankless position to play at the top level
