Inclined to give away some dumb penalties but he is very very powerful.

Inclined to agree. The pro game structure is so good and the emphasis on recruiting the best coaches at regional level as well, they aren't going to drop off.ASMO wrote: Fri Feb 02, 2024 9:43 pmIreland are going to win the grand slam, no question in my mind. Scotland are their next closest, and Ireland will beat them with something to spare.

They've fairly fucked everyone predictions for this round anywayTichtheid wrote: Fri Feb 02, 2024 9:50 pm Ireland have totally controlled the pace of the game to suit their situation. They’ve also controlled where the game has been played

Yeah, England will beat them at home

He's been pretty good and the only reason I'm taking against him at all is because Miles Harrison seems to find it outstanding that the mid 20s player with nearly 50 appearances for Munster making his 12th appearance for Ireland hasn't played like an 18 year old in his first senior game...Slick wrote: Fri Feb 02, 2024 9:45 pmI’m really enjoying watching himUncle fester wrote: Fri Feb 02, 2024 9:37 pmHe's really young and a babe in international terms. Ireland far more professional than France, who seemed bothered for about half an hour in this game. Both sides will improve but you'd expect Ireland to maintain a higher standard. Well played in the end.

Very solid display from Ireland. France really didn't push them very hard at all. Didn't seem to miss Sexton much! Which will probably worry all the other teams in the competition.

Yeah, they are a rabble.
Even Wales would beat them.

Absolute manshaming. An untouched Irish consecutive grand slam would make the world cup even more amusing.
Ireland are playing at a level well above what the rest of us can manage, and I’m convinced a huge amount of it is cohesion and coaching, rather than a raw talent gap. Very frustrating that England can never move the ball at that pace and quality.

Well done Ireland, did what you needed to do.
Quite looking forward to France coming to Murrayfield next week now. Grand Slam showdown on the last week
Aaaah, you said it. Why did you need to fucking say it??????
Irelands running/passing and variations at the lineout/maul, were both very good and looked like where they were at the RWC.
France only played for about 20 minutes. Hard to tell if it was more they didn't turn up or Ireland made them look bad, they were poor but I'm leaning towards the latter.

Fair point really. Never won a knock out game at the RWC.Uncle fester wrote: Fri Feb 02, 2024 11:36 pmTry again after the weekend seft.sefton wrote: Fri Feb 02, 2024 11:22 pm Tonight proved one thing, how the Irish team were psychologically too weak in the RWC.
Psychologically fragile.
The QF went down to the wire. Ireland would've won that game against any other side in the world on the day, imho.C69 wrote: Sat Feb 03, 2024 10:31 amFair point really. They got beaten, just, but that's hardly an example of psycho fragility, imho.
