I see that along with Taylor Swift being a Pentagon plant for having the temerity to tell people to vote (not even who for, just to vote) that Habba is now apparently an agent of the deep state and that's why she lost the case.
It's the hyper masculine 'well why wouldn't that hot thirty year old want to shag me, a fat fifty eight year old?' attitude where they are absolutely incapable of seeing themselves as anything other than perfect, always correct and smarter than everyone else'
That might be true, but the tweet is from a female MAGA and there will be many more women who agree with her tweet. The whole MAGA movement is more popular amongst females than males
MAGA Republicans were specifically defined as those who voted for Trump in 2020 and strongly disagreed with the legitimacy of the 2020 election results. In demographic terms, they were more likely to be female, less educated, and have a lower household income compared to other Republican groups.

Maybe giving them the vote wasn't such a bright idea after all

Trump has lost his case about immunity. Got until 12th Feb to appeal to the supreme court.

I just could not see him ever being prosecuted, convicted and incarcerated, but he's got so many lawsuits and findings against him....... surely he's going down?

The worry is that engaging an appeals process will act as a delaying tactic and we could see the US going to the polls with a candidate who is not found guilty or innocent... and potentially winning office. Then the shit would really hit the fan.

Well if the SCOTUS decides that he does have immunity, then Biden should immediately send SEAL team 6 around to the offices of the conservative justices, to garrote them, so he can legally appoint new ones who aren't owned by various billionaires.

Former President Trump
moved to dismiss the Indictment and the district court denied
his motion. Today, we affirm the denial. For the purpose of
this criminal case, former President Trump has become citizen
Trump, with all of the defenses of any other criminal defendant.
But any executive immunity that may have protected him while
he served as President no longer protects him against this
prosecution.

So high court says Trump can be prosecuted in his election interference case, but... delay, delay, delay.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-not-im ... 56012.html

Wonder if the Supreme Court will take it up if the appeals reach that far though. The concept the President can be immune to criminal charges rather than civil ones seems out there, at least from a personal perspective.

Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump

A President of the United States must have Full Immunity in order to properly function and do what has to be done for the good of our Country. A Nation-destroying ruling like this cannot be allowed to stand. If not overturned, as it should be, this decision would terribly injure not only the Presidency, but the Life, Breath, and Success of our Country. A President will be afraid to act for fear of the opposite Party’s Vicious Retribution after leaving Office. I know from personal experience because I am going through it right now. It will become a Political Weapon used for Election Interference. Even our Elections will be corrupted and under siege. So bad, and so dangerous for our Nation. SAVE PRESIDENTIAL IMMUNITY!
Nah, sorry fuckbrain, you're toast...

Every time someone talks about the delays & the traitor, "running down the clock", they're only ever talking about him pushing decisions closer to polling day, or in his ideal reality, past this into a new administration.

They never mention the other deadline; the GOP Convention & nomination !

There are plenty in the GOP who don't want him as their candidate, but the longer they have to wait for a verdict that gives them the excuse to drop him as a candidate, the less time they have to line up an alternate, & start a campaign for the new less toxic candidate.

I think this is why Haley refuses to terminate her candidacy, & why Meatball never actually terminated his, he just "suspended" it.

Three or four *GOP* staffers in Congress called me about this bill. They all said MAGA representatives were boasting about it as a poison pill designed to end Ukraine aid and force Dems into backing it lest they appear anti-Israel. Biden called their bluff. Staffers relieved.

TV One news in NZ has just said that the DOJ critique of Biden's mentality debunks Trump's claim that the DOJ targets just him.
This ignores that the damnation of Biden's mental acuity is open and deliberate Democrat preparation to shunt Biden aside as he is such an unacceptable political liability in this election year.

Joe Biden has been a great president by any measure. His accomplishments have brought about a remarkable economic revival post-covid, with record low unemployment, record job creation, record infrastructure investment, record stock market numbers, and a massive reduction in the deficit.

And all this despite contending with the most disfunctional and unproductive GOP House majority in decades.

History will judge Biden's presidency very well indeed.

Only delusional Trump cultists and Faux News bubble junkies like you think otherwise. Sad.

Interesting series of tweets, where a bit of investigation at the least throws strong suspicion towards a bot / RU misinformation account - and why to never take social media posts as being what they initially seem

I hate the prick and even though he said it in his usual manchild manner, he has a point. Any European country scrimping on defence or failing to adequately support its neighbours should be called out.

But not invaded.

It's such a dickheaded thing for him to say - call them out, yes, but don't indicate to the principal aggressor in the region that you'll accept an invasion because there's a bar tab owing.

The one most at risk are spending above the 2% anyway - Poland's just committed to 3% and the likes of Estonia are above 2% - but the point remains.

There's no excuse for this statement knowing the horrors inflicted in Ukraine against the population over the last two years. There's a huge difference between this and warning nations against the consequences of enemy action if they don't fulfil obligations

No, as I said, the way he said it is outrageous, just that I agree with the underlying sentiment that European nations shouldn't be relying on the US defending them.

True, but the US imposed themselves as the protector of Europe, rather than being asked to.

Specifically the US actively discouraged any development of nuclear weapons within Europe, & apart from the UK, which started work on their immediately after WW II, any nuclear weapons deployed in Europe were American !

When the US withdrew after the USSR collapsed, they pulled the rug out from underneath their NATO allies, by them no longer having the ultimate deterrent of nuclear weapons, & the US signed a treaty that prohibited IRBMs (which the Russians have flouted with the Isklander missiles).

It's all very well for the traitor to bellyache about the rest of NATO not spending enough on defense, but it's like helicopter parents complaining about their college age kids bringing their laundry home at the weekends; they created the situation, so it's a bit rich for them to not own it.

This is not to say that they shouldn't, but it takes a lot to reverse course after 60+ years of not having an arms complex internally, & relying almost entirely on the one in the US; & none at all in the taboo area of nuclear weapons !

I wonder how the US military industrial complex feels about Trump wanting to row back the US's international obligations and thus the need for so much of their kit. It's a group the Republicans would generally consider on their side, but not if Trump wants to potentially sabotage their profits.

A lot of represtantives' seats have military or related jobs in their areas on both sides of the political divide.

Exactly !

Which is why the opposition to assisting Ukraine should be political suicide for a Republican.

They want the jobs from refurbishing & upgrading mothballed Bradleys & Abrams.

Anything they send to Ukraine from store, e.g artillery ammo, has to be replaced, & MANPADS, Anti-tank munitions have to be replaced too, & as they've been shown to be so effective, I can see massive orders coming in from Taiwan & maybe South Korea.

I'd love to see a graphic that showed how much the US spends on strategic assets, that never get used; & how much it spends on the stuff getting sent to Ukraine. I'm guessing it's pennies in the dollar

The Orange loser traitor never ceases to amaze with his stupidity.

His latest gaff, that will of course be defended to the tilt by his lick spittles, was a gibe at Haley, asking where her husband was, & why he wasn't supporting her on the campaign trail in South Carolina.

If he'd bothered to check, he'd know that her husband is; he's currently deployed with the rest of his South Carolina National Guard Battalion in the horn of Africa !!

But I suppose that makes him a sucker as far as bone-spurs is concerned, but the non-brainwashed voters of SC might take that as a slight against their husbands & brothers.
