Speculation is growing that the reason SCOTUS hasn't responded yet to the immunity case, is that there aren't enough Justices who want to take it, so the delay is the die hard MAGA justices taking their own sweet time writing dissenting opinions, to just delay, & delay some more.

CNN did some good investigative reporting, & they've found that Ken Chesebro, who copped a plea in the Georgia case, & "Cooperated", lied to the prosecutors when he denied having an twitter accounts under aliases, because he did, & some of the stuff tweeted undercuts his claimed contribution to the election steal. So obviously his plea deal is now under threat unless he really starts cooperating.

And of course while the Traitor is appealing the civil fraud ruling, he hasn't posted a bond, so that $112k of daiy interest will keep on accruing, & the best guess is it could take a couple of years for the appeal to be ruled upon, so that could be another ~$82 million in interest !!!

You can see why he's such a brilliant businessman; sure he could get a bond, & pay a few percent for the process, but he'd rather go into the casino, & put it all on #37 black

Donald Trump's emergency request to stay the enforcement of the $350+ million judgment issued by Judge Engoron has been denied by a New York Appellate Court. As a result, Trump will have to put up a bond with the court of over $450 million given the interest that has accrued on the judgment. Earlier today, Trump argued that a stay should be granted as he could not afford to put up the entire monetary amount, and that he could only put up a $100 million bond.

If he were forced to put up the full $450+ million amount, Trump argued that he would have to begin selling property

Illinois judge kicks Trump off primary ballot

An Illinois judge has ruled that Donald Trump engaged in insurrection and has barred him from the state's primary ballot - though she put the ruling on hold pending an appeal. Two other states - Colorado and Maine - have removed Mr Trump from their primary ballots for violating a 14th Amendment "insurrection" clause. The final outcome will likely be decided by the US Supreme Court.

Illinois' primary election is scheduled for 19 March.

Early voting in the primary has already begun. Mr Trump - the front-runner Republican presidential candidate - will remain on the ballot until at least Friday while he has time to appeal against the order.

Cook County circuit judge Tracie Porter agreed with voters who argued Mr Trump had violated the US constitution's 14th Amendment because of his role in the 6 January Capitol riot.

It comes after Colorado's Supreme Court barred Mr Trump from appearing on the Republican primary ballot in December, arguing Mr Trump's actions during the 2021 Capitol riot amounted to insurrection.

It's a calculated decision. The polls are very clear, he has a slim chance of winning the election, but if he has a conviction on any of the charges against him, that slim chance disappears.

If you want to judge how good his chances are of winning, just look at the GOPs finances !, the donors are deserting them, because they know there's no chance of backing losers, & the impact will go all the way down the ballot, as if you can't campaign for the Presidency, then there certainly no money for dog catcher.

He has vaguely understood that the Navy went from Steam catapults to EM ones for the latest generation of carriers; but being the, "business man" that he is, he is horrified at the cost of the development. He doesn't understand that that was for the first carrier in the class, & if you want to launch an F-35 off a carrier with a full fuel & weapons load; that's the tech you have to have !!!

With the Supreme Court ruling that only Congress - and not individual states - can enforce Section 3 to block a candidate from federal office, at least one Democrat is already paying attention.

Maryland lawmaker Jamie Raskin, one of the most vocal anti-Trump voices in Congress, told CNN earlier that he is "working with a number of my colleagues... to revive legislation that we had to set up a process by which we could determine that someone who committed insurrection is disqualified by Section 3".
