6 Nations round 5 - France v England
Under 20s - and it was a cracker. Great comeback from 21-5 down to win 45-21. Lots of skill on show but also lots of errors - which always makes for lots of entertainment. England were just that bit smarter. Well deserved Championship title.
Yes, fantastic game. Probably more entertaining than tonight’s 6N game will be. England were smarter, as you say, but the French backs…scary good for U-20s.
45 - 31 actually. It was a great comeback, but not 40 unanswered points great.
The tries the French backs scored in the 1st half were wonderful.

Apologies, everyone. After last week's performance I'm actually feeling a little twinge of excited anticipation about tonight's game, which means we're going to get bodied. Working hard on restoring my usual pessimism.
I can't watch the game live - question is, do I watch the recording when I get home, without checking the score 1st - I could avoid all the stress with a quick peek 1st.sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 11:31 am Apologies, everyone. We’ll get a red within ten minutes of kick off. Don’t concern yourself with hope. It’s a mug’s game if you’re an England supporter.sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 11:31 am Apologies, everyone. I'd watch without knowing the result until at least half time. Then follow my gut on whether or not I'd be happier just knowing if we win or lose.Ovals wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 1:13 pmI can't watch the game live - question is, do I watch the recording when I get home, without checking the score 1st - I could avoid all the stress with a quick peek 1st.sockwithaticket wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 11:31 am Apologies, everyone. Give a man a fire and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.

France making ground in the centres but seem unable to hold onto the ball.

Three English players inspect the ruck as Smith is turned over.

Bloody hell, fireworks and spotlights for a penalty? What happens when they score a try? A grand ball at Versailles?
