That was my thought. Think the on field decision swung it. If the on field was try I don't think those angles would have been enough to disallow.

Happy to be wrong!
Left hand down a bit
He didn't dismiss it, he just wasn't taking Finn's opinion. He had no sight and asked his AR as he should.

Not sure about that. His initial suggestion was try and he shut Russell down even though he is entitled to make a point. It looked more like Dickson deciding he had to intervene.

Scotland should get a yellow on next scrum
If he'd said on field decision is a try, I'd agree, but he didn't, so he clearly didn't know if it was a try or not and planned on checking.Blackmac wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 6:06 pmNot sure about that. Why. Who is infringing.
Pretty certain he did say it was a try.Raggs wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 6:08 pmIf he'd said on field decision is a try, I'd agree, but he didn't, so he clearly didn't know if it was a try or not and planned on checking.

What????Uncle fester wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 6:17 pmIt's a penalty because the player actively tried to catch the ball.
McCarthy just had the ball bounce into him.

Happened a few times this match, particularly when the Irish backs have the ball and doing the clearing.
Need to adjust and do the same tbh

How many penalty advantages in fairly quick succession was that? At least 3.

No try, Ireland, kick the 3 FFS.

Yellow coming, as expected.
But where was the advantage for Larmour's knock on?

Only if you achieve some degree of advantage.Uncle fester wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 6:29 pmI'm confused.
Knock on advantage is always over quickly.
