Ridiculous lineout penalty call.

You got quick ball. It's up to you to use it.Blackmac wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 6:30 pmOnly if you achieve some degree of advantage.Uncle fester wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 6:29 pmI'm confused.
Knock on advantage is always over quickly.

In case anybody in wondering, it is dry in Dublin at present (nice sunset) but it's been pissing rain all week so handling conditions are poor.
If you kick it away you ususlly lose it.Uncle fester wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 6:35 pmYou got quick ball. It's up to you to use it.Blackmac wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 6:30 pmOnly if you achieve some degree of advantage.Uncle fester wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 6:29 pm

Just like the Italy game, it's the hope that kills you
Left hand down a bit
I don't think we ever had much hope to be fair. We were solid but I think the try flattered us scoreline wise.S/Lt_Phillips wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 6:45 pm Just like the Italy game, it's the hope that kills you

Very poor performance from the ref. Some downright bizarre calls.

Hard luck Scotland. Showed a lot of grit.
As did the first (the gift) flatter them.Blackmac wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 6:46 pmI don't think we ever had much hope to be fair. We were solid but I think the try flattered us scoreline wise.S/Lt_Phillips wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 6:45 pm Just like the Italy game, it's the hope that kills you

POM will be up in a minute to say nice things about Scotland.
Well that was a lot better result than I think we were all anticipating, but it still manages to be incredibly frustrating and leave you with the feeling that we’ve fucked up a massive opportunity across the whole tournament.
And are there two g’s in Bugger Off?
It's hard not to be seen to be moaning but yes, some very frustrating calls. The one thing that really got me was Doris being able to fall or advance into an offside position at nearly every breakdown and just getting warned. It slows down ball or cuts out options every time and it's quite deliberate.Insane_Homer wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 6:47 pm Very poor performance from the ref. Some downright bizarre calls.
Any congrats Ireland. We would have needed more than a few ref calls to really be winning that match.
Btw, according to the tv listings, the Scotland Ireland coverage on itv runs until twenty past seven before the England France coverage starts. How much of the next half hour do we think they’ll actually spend talking about England?
