That was a dumb yellow given the size of the lead.

And that's red for the head clash.

And Reus is correct. Fra yellow should not stand because the play should never have occurred.

I'm not particularly referencing personnel, they just don't look especially well coached. Obviously their scrum's on top and they can string together a play every now and then, but their organisation is really lacking in a way that I don't expect of them even at this level.

Noted. I think this is a pretty weak Fre side cw with the more recent seasons. Comp is for Eng to take.

Your lot seem a lot more clinical than our Baby Orcs. This ability to score against the run of play has me nervous because England have been anything but capable of reflecting territory and possession on the scoreboard.

Fra will have to keep the ball alive and away from scrum and lineouts to have a chance.

The SH teams has all been way kakker then I expected. They had a tournament in Australia this time to prepare better but failed miserable. The 6 Nations u 20 teams for next year starts in a few weeks time preparing for next year playing against SA Schools A & B.

We will always struggle in u20 tournaments due to the PoC system. Thats why we lose so many young players to overseas.

DA to lodge HRC and World Rugby complaint over Grant Khomo rugby quota controversy
Issued by Tsepo Mhlongo MP – DA Shadow Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture
29 Jun 2023 in News
The DA condemns the disqualification of Western Province in the Grant Khomo-rugby tournament for allegedly not meeting the quota requirements.
Racial quotas have no place in sports, especially in children’s sports, and the DA will request an investigation by the SA Human Rights Commission.
We will also inform World Rugby about the government’s interference in grassroots rugby and the violation of its regulations.
The DA strongly condemns the unjust discrimination witnessed at the under 16 Grant Khomo-rugby tournament, where Western Province was disqualified for allegedly failing to field the required number of quota players in their squad.

According to reports, the Western Province team initially complied with SA Rugby’s quota regulations, but unfortunately two of the quota players were forced to withdraw from the match due to serious injuries and replaced with white players.

SA rugby requires that at least 11 of the 23 players in the team must be players of colour. The two substitutions upset the required balance and the team was disqualified.

The DA will promptly request the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) to conduct an investigation into this matter.

The DA firmly believes that racial quotas and discrimination based on skin color have no place in any sport, particularly in children’s sports.

The focus of a child’s school sporting experience should revolve around enjoyment, skill development, and building relationships with teammates, rather than being exposed to discrimination and forced racial quotas. Additionally, enforcing racial quotas undermines fair and competitive play, potentially leading to instances of bullying and the unjust perception that certain players are not selected based on merit.

Rather than imposing arbitrary quotas on sports teams, the government should prioritise investing in grassroots sports development and ensuring equal opportunities for all learners, regardless of race or socio-economic background, to flourish and succeed. Racial quotas are merely a superficial approach that fails to address the government’s ongoing failure to provide opportunities for all South Africans.

As per World Rugby’s bylaws and regulations, rugby is meant to be accessible to all individuals, with no tolerance for racism or any form of discrimination within the sport. Although this incident occurred at a school-level event, South Africa, as a member of World Rugby, should adhere to the international body’s rules and regulations governing rugby at all levels.

Therefore, in addition to reporting this matter and SA Rugby’s quota regulations to the Human Rights Commission, the DA will also write to World Rugby to bring attention to the ANC Government’s interference in grassroots rugby.

I wasn't trolling, I've never heard it referred to in those terms before.

Trolling would be to say that I was reliably informed South Africans were known for accepting things and not whining like a little bitch and making excuses.

We have those terms in all our sport. Cricket was in kak about that and the system cost us the T20 WC
The targets are set to gradually increase every year until, by 2030, the Proteas XI will have 60% generically black players, including 36% black Africans. That would mean seven generically black players per XI (including four black African), and four white players.

Currently at senior provincial level, each team must have six generic black players in its XI, including three black Africans.

At next month’s U19 Khaya Majola Week, the 15-man squads across the 16 provincial teams must have seven players of colour, including at least three black African players.

Let's be honest. Money buys you privilege. Buys you skills. Buys you advantage. I mean. Let's be real. WTF are we working for if it isn't to give our children every advantage. Even if that includes going that extra mile to suck up to the coach. Township students don't get that advantage.
So agree that money needs to go into development. Of the kids. There's money. And sponsorship of equipment. But my vok the administration is a mess. Have no clue how it will ever get fixed.
I was looking for a spare cricket bat. So the 2 boys didn't damage their bats at home playing in the back yard. Saw a very good Kukaburra advertised at a really good price. Boys don't bat Kukkabara. So perfect home bat . Met up with the guy. He had a few bats. I was cautious so asked a few questions. He definitely understood cricket. Turns out he coaches in the Township. Through the development scheme. He told me they got sponsored a lot of equipment and they were selling the excess to earn some money............thats how vokked up our systems are. The idea is right. The implementation is non existent

Just reading an article on the England u20 (looking at the pack), and found out that Kpoku (the enormous lock) and Sela (the enormous tighthead), both have another year in the u20s.... They're going to be beasts, hopefully!

The Charlie Morgan one? He is a bit of a cheerleader for English rugby at times but it really does sound like a group of forwards to get excited about. Also glad to see England aren't wedded to Asher at loosehead.

It will be a challenge to keep Kpoku though as he's playing for Racing and his whole family are out in France

Scotland beat Samoa 123 -15, then

Scotland 101 - 10 Hong Kong

Scotland 46 - 10 Japan

Scotland 48 - 10 USA

It's a shame this cohort never got a chance at the main competition, we will be without a few hard players up front next year and that counts for so much at U20s.

Poor old NZ cannot help themselves with these illegal lifts. They were warned for it 3 times in the Fra game.
