I saw a little of a press conference with the NZ teams. The men's spokesman was saying France have put an enormous amount of work in over the last 4 years and were looking very strong even before they added Dupont.

Yes, you are correct but they won their first 2 major tournaments with Dupont, same with EdF15 or Toulouse, big difference when he’s playing.Guy Smiley wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 7:19 pmI saw a little of a press conference with the NZ teams. Pool stages live coverage seem to be limited to Eurosport 2 here, with BBC only picking it up from the knock-out rounds?

Failed to qualify I think.
Yup
Great Britain have failed to reach the men's rugby sevens at the Olympic Games for the first time since it made its debut in 2016 after losing 14-5 to South Africa in the repechage final in Monaco.
I hate the odd group structure. Same with the Euros at football.
No reason there couldn't have been four groups or even two groups of 6 with an extra day added. There are constraints on venue but Paris has a few rugby stadiums that could have assisted.
The early rounds will be live on the BBC red button this afternoon.tabascoboy wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 8:00 pm Pool stages live coverage seem to be limited to Eurosport 2 here, with BBC only picking it up from the knock-out rounds?

Blitzbokke a shadow of their recent, former glory.
Ireland have seemed to found a way to play sevens in the style of Munster winning the HC. It’s a sort of anti sevens
Failed to qualify, as said above.
This is after it was decided to do away with separate national teams for England, Scotland and Wales in order to concentrate on competing at the Olympics.
That really fucking worked, didn't it.
And now the country that invented the game doesn't have a national side.
Oh, and for the Commonwealth games which is pretty much the same level of competition, we have to pull a scratch team together
And are there two g’s in Bugger Off?
