Vrydtaat bullies WP laaities.
Why was there a match scheduled for Friday lunchtime? Seems really odd? I didn't get to watch the match.
Love how Oom suddenly remembers he's actually a Griqua fan when they beat the Sharks. He has even invented a new term for it, his "root province".

Called it.
I only saw the first half, so can't comment much on the game. But having a bunch of new players thrust into the team (and most called back to the Boks) and expecting a result against a team what literally lives to win the Currie Cup is a tough ask.
Sharks and WP very disapointing for the Currie Cupassfly wrote: Mon Jul 15, 2024 6:15 amCalled it.

We have a required rest period for 8 weeks.
The Stormers and Sharks use this month for development of young talent outside URC. Obvious they will use the URC (not Springbok) players from August to prepare them for the new season.
Pain will bring gain.

And this is why the Sharks fielded a star-studded team filled with Springboks against the mighty Kwas. Because they have resigned that they don't have the depth to compete and would rather use the Currie Cup as a training ground for the URC.
Masterstroke.

You can blame that on Rassie. He forced the provinces to play them in specific positions to prepare for the Bloem test. They havent practise much with the CC squads. Must have been kak for the players who was suppose to play.average joe wrote: Tue Jul 16, 2024 8:36 am And this is why the Sharks fielded a star-studded team filled with Springboks against the mighty Kwas. Obviously sticking with the team believing that they will come good. Another loss will be devastating.assfly wrote: Fri Jul 26, 2024 6:03 am Nice to see the young Sharks get a run, but by not taking this competition seriously we are making a mockery of it.
Also, not sure why they named Mavesere in the team when he played for Zim on Wednesday and is playing the final on Sunday.

He was outstanding at school level. Missed a bit, was watching the midgets. DisappointingSards wrote: Sat Jul 27, 2024 2:06 pm Jorenzo waa my best player of the under 20s. Continuing his form in the Currie cup. It we just had a proper leader in the under 20s.
Sharks leading 20 to 3 half time.

Bulls winning but at least WP gave it their all. Lots of confusion with the subs.
