Seriously???

Somewhat hypocritical, given SA rugby's history of ref bashing (enabled by Rassie, of course).
Seriously Boet, the French are still all over the place after their WC knockout. Du Pont still bitching, talking about revenge.
Du Pont was really a whiny bitch after the loss
He's not whining now, whiner.

But it's hard to judge the Aussies because their quarter was a bit of a dud, other three all look brilliant with possession but are vulnerable when they're defending, Fiji the weakest of the three on defence and Blitzboks defence maybe the best, France look the most rounded.
Damn I'm good.

Well done though - I doubt that was expected after the rough pool games.
Baie dankie, Enzo.

My expectations were quite low going in happy with a podium finish. Congrats France and Fiji.

The Women's 7s start in a little while with Ireland vs Great Britain but only radio 5 coverage by the looks of it - alongside hockey and mountain biking!

You're better than us, well done.

You do realise that makes it even funnier when you get precious because someone may have slighted your team.

Specially when your top try scorer is from that country.

Looks like the Women's 7s medals will go to NZ, Aus and France unless GB manage an upset - based on the pool games so far

Saffers are very noisy on Xhitter for a team who came third.

If you haven't caught up on it, the Michaela Blyde fan girl story over Jamaican sprint star Shelley-Ann Fraser-Pryce is one of the more heart warming stories floating around.

An epic game. Canada were superb, especially their tiny, but very quick, scrum half, Piper Morgan. The crowd went from deafening to complete silence as Canada scored the winning try with less than a minute to go.

French Coach is a bonehead (only explanation as to why none of his fast players started the game.

Canada just had to wait for France to knock on to get a score (twice) straight of the scrum.

Unbelievable...

GB have lost again, this time to China. They will now play Ireland to determine who comes 7th and 8th.

To add to a dismal Olympics for the GB womens team, Amy Wilson Hardy has been accused of posting a racist comment on WhatsApp and is now under investigation by the BOA. She has withdrawn from the squad.

That's a stunning result for Canada.

Just seen the end of the GB China match. GB leading 15 14 with 10 seconds left, GB scrum half throws the ball into touch to give China a penalty from which they score a try. What a catalogue of errors and stupidity this campaign has been!

GB women's is such a wonder given how good England XVs are. The 7s is always seemingly in that secod tier, quarter final Brexiters.

I haven't watched 7s in ages but seems like a lot like to just take it into contact. Yelling 'one more pass' or 'where's the offload support runner?' 😅

Watched it on delay, you'd never think that would be the test given how Australia started!

Dunno what it is but I get so much joy from watching our womens' sevens do well. There's genuine warmth and happiness oozing out of them and Stacey Waaka's smile lights up the world.

You need to make it look like you were passing to a teammate who ended up running a different line.

She was under pressure from a tackler dealing with ruck ball, but could have at least tried to make it look like an attempt to kick it out or pass. Instead she just blatantly threw the ball out of play
