There's going to be a countdown clock for scrums and lineouts.
A scrum must be set 30 seconds from when the mark for a scrum is made by the referee. If the 30 seconds expires a free kick will be awarded against the team causing the delay.
A lineout must be formed 30 seconds from the assistant referee signalling the place of the lineout. A free kick will be awarded on the 15-metre line in from touch, against the team causing the delay.

ABs confirmed:
Ethan de Groot, Codie Taylor, Tyrel Lomax, Tupou Vaa'i, Sam Darry, Ethan Blackadder, Dalton Papali’i, Ardie Savea (c)
TJ Perenara, Damian McKenzie, Mark Tele'a, Jordie Barrett, Anton Lienert-Brown, Sevu Reece, Beauden Barrett.
Reserves: Asafo Aumua, Ofa Tu’ungafasi, Fletcher Newell, Josh Lord, Wallace Sititi, Cortez Ratima, Rieko Ioane, Will Jordan
Good to see Lord back in the mix. Tuipulotu must be injured again?
ALB at centre with Rieko on the bench is interesting.is interesting.
I hope they haven't given up on Finau already.
Where is Tamaiti Williams?
The loosies are still wrong for my money. I'd like to see Ardie at 7 with Sititi running at 8 from the start. At least Blackadder's named at 6 where he's been his best and I'm still unconvinced on Papali'i. Dunno whether he's actually hard and abrasive enough for Tests.
No Cane?
Rieko must be coming under some pressure now. ALB's fitness and speed through Super Rugby were impressive and he made some fast runs down the wing. He scores tries, too... something Rieko seems to have forgotten.
Jordan on the bench makes sense... who makes way for his introduction will be interesting, DMac will want to have the ship sailing well trimmed and clean.

Another stupid new law (rugby union law's book must have 300 pages now).
I expect less accuracy in binding/forming the scrum ----> even more danger and mess at scrum time ------> endless resets.

Everything stops as soon as a front row takes a knee with an “injury” anyway, so that will still be the go to when you want to slow down play.
Re the bind etc would it be better to put the time limit on the pack being at the mark and ready to start the process rather than the scrum actually being set?
If you want to speed up the game, force all blood injuries to be treated off the field. Hanging around for 3 mins while they bind up some flanker's head is fucking stupid.
Going to be interesting to see crowd support in Australia, after the sport taking a battering over the last few months.
Unfort got relos at our place and the missus is saying, no television ... fingers crossed full replays become available online quickly, might end up being a long night when the house goes to bed.
This feels different. Past years our team was always filled with old timers. Aussies were too quick for them. Now we have a lot of new and younger players.
Moerat....
