On a serious note, I don't think we have ever seen the Springboks so popular. They are superheroes, the next generation will see this and will aspire to be the same. Good time to be a Saffa.Sards wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2024 12:52 pmLoveOfTheGame wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2024 12:32 pm The whole process was a debacle. Go figure. ABs pull in the money. So much in demand......wish we were so popular

I'm sure the liquid refreshments will keep me warm...Sards wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2024 12:57 pm Geez. It's chilli atm. But quite a bit of wind around and blowing off the sea here in Blouberg. Water must be cold.
Pretty much the same weather tomorrow. Make sure you are warm handyman.
Actually the water is around 15 degrees. So not bad
.....no clue why it's so Chilli. We have had a lot of sunny days. Got an outside braai tonight at my eldests school cricket pavilion. Going to freeze my balls off. And the wind is pumping
Springboks, Stormers and WP supporter.
Why a debacle? I think it's a great solution.LoveOfTheGame wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2024 12:32 pm The whole process was a debacle. I guess that's what happens when the demand is off the charts.
The alternative is for the site to crash when everybody tries to buy tickets at once and then for scalpers to buy up large blocks of seats and resell them at x3 or x4 times face value.
It's not perfect, but it's significantly better than the alternative.
Why do you assume it's the All Blacks pulling the crowds?Sards wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2024 12:52 pmGo figure. ABs pull in the money. Boks sold out Brisbane and Perth with thousands of expats painting the stands green with Bok jerseys, and all local tests this year have also sold out...even Portugal. It's the Boks pulling the crowds.

Hope you dont get lost in Cape Town, specially after the game. I use to struggle to found my car after the games at Newlands.
Was hoping the side would be more settled by this stage of the year, but it's not to be. Roigard's injury has really thrown a spanner in the works, and I'm not sure we'll get a clearer idea of what our best long-term squad will be until the EOYT.
As for tonight, I just can't shake the feeling we're in for a thumping.
Boks by 25.

I think it's fair and reasonable to say the rugby world has never seen a team as good as this current Boks' side and the All Blacks will be lucky to survive the run out through the tunnel.

This is not a good sign. Springboks are in big trouble.

Records look like they might tumble, the Bokke cannot be pleased with their performance last weekend and are no doubt going to come out breathing fireGuy Smiley wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2024 9:19 pm I think it's fair and reasonable to say the rugby world has never seen a team as good as this current Boks' side and the All Blacks will be lucky to survive the run out through the tunnel.
Might not bother to stay up and simply record and watch tomorrow if the ABs are within 20 odd.

Turned inside out there. It’s going to be a long day for the tight five.

Early signs not good for the ABs. Scrum under pressure already and the speed of the Boks in defense has them rattled.

And some aimless kicking. And here we go again, getting turned over at the breakdown. The boks are dominating that again. We’re not protecting the ball at all.Guy Smiley wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2024 3:07 pm Early signs not good for the ABs. Scrum under pressure already and the speed of the Boks in defense has them rattled.

AB left wing has looked sharp and incisive over the last few minutes!

No surprises there.
Rieko is being used now he’s on the wing. It stands out like dog’s balls… he’s not doing anything at centre.

No way that is a yellow card. Very harsh on LeRoux.
