Just after Marshall gargles Beaden meat for minutes he throws a dumb pass that through sheer luck delivers a YC.

What exactly has Jordan done this evening? He’s well off the pace and nowhere on attack.

A couple of excellent defensive reads early on that you want to se from someone who hasn’t played FB enough. Hard to criticise when the backline hasn’t fired in attack. That’s down to MacKenzie. Too often our play stops with him.

High kick from 10m out from our own line, hardly the ideal exit strategy.

Mackenzie is an attack killer. We have no pattern, no structure and no cohesion with him there.

Congrats, Saffers.

That second half had a sense of inevitability, tbh.

Ah well, some good signs from the ABs, but still too much stupid shit. We're a long way from the finished article yet.

The much hyped bench changes did fuck all to improve our game. We look tired and rattled in the last ten minutes. I thought Lomax could have been benched when he conceded that scrum penalty about 10-15 minutes to go. Taylor played the whole game at 2 as well, apart from his HIA time off. Big ask for your front row.

The Boks all but secure The Rugby Championship, and win the Freedom Cup (for the first time in 15 years).

Three losses from seven tests so far this year...

Has the stardust started to rub off Razor Ray? Is the attacking game plan fatally flawed? Or do we simply lack the cattle?

Feels like one step forward and two steps back at the moment...

That's a very good Springboks squad. It's not easy for anyone these days. Probably the best Springbok team ever.

Look on the bright side. Razor has 2 games you should win to fine-tune his squad.

Agreed, this is a great Springboks side... but if we lose the Bledisloe I'll shit my spleen.

Millies

For those of you noticing the Man of the match...

He visited Millies last night and next to him is Bobby, the Milnerton coach and one of our national youth coaches.
And the principal....Mr. Besner

Never thought I would be proud of De Allende. One of his fiercest critics, but things are different now..

Millies ......millies

Congratulations to the Bok supporters, they are having the sort of sustained run of success that we had throughout the 20teens. A very good team with massive depth across all positions...

and despite the frustrating errors and misjudgements in the ABs games over the last two weeks, we've been close to winning in their own backyard in the face of a very involved and vocal crowd.

The Abs are on the right track but they still have a long way to go before we could start thinking about any sort of finished article. For most of the game our set piece was solid and held its own. We stole lineout ball and after the first wobble the scrum held its own. Our maul defense is very strong. These are Bok strengths and we matched up well.

We're playing a better style of attack that gives us room to move against a rush defense and we find holes in that repeatedly.

I think it's just a matter of cattle to do the job. Ratima was ok tonight in a massive test and he will get better for the run. Tupou Vaa'i is becoming a giant of the game... I look at players like those two in the early days of their careers and facing this brutal shakedown in SA and I think they'll feed on this for years. It'll temper them.

I think there are some key players in the backline whose place and / or role in the team will come under the spotlight. 10 and 13 are problem spots for us. I've completely come around to Jordie as a player and especially at 12. I think he provides onfield leadership and direction, along with a massive contribution as a player.

I think we are watching a rebuild and we need to be patient.

We just don't seem to be running supporting lines at the moment. This surprises me as it was the hallmark of the Crusaders - they always had a player each side (and behind) the ball carriers ready to keep the ball alive.

We are taking the tackle - good for ball retention but never going to make a break that way.

First time for ages that we never looked like scoring a try.

That's what decided the match. Was counting them as I watched too, ABs should've shot at goal and didn't, then it was three fuck ups in a row starting from the kick not getting into the Bok 22 can't even remember what they all were now.

Thought the Boks weren't that sharp again, especially in the first half, some of that was forced by AB pressure and some wasn't. Also trying lots of 50/50 stuff the Boks don't usually go for in big matches like this, and none of it came off really. Way too many knocks and breakdown pens. Not sure swapping players out worked that well some of the players who came in looked a bit rusty, Moodie was completely out of it on the wing his positioning and work rate was not good.

Happy with the win and it's the All Blacks so you take what you can get, bit underwhelmed by the Bok performance though. Feels wrong saying that, but meh, that's how I see it.

The Pumas may have a shot against the Boks in Argentina in a few weeks if they can do all the basics well and cut the errors/pens/needless cards.

Lots of grit and belief shown by the Boks to drag that one over the line again. I’ll rather win ugly than lose pretty, but this is not sustainable.

We need to start executing accurately. Our game still has a ton of holes that can (and will) be exploited successfully eventually. Ireland managed it in Durban and the All Blacks came very close today…and last week.

But it’s nice to still be winning on our way to building something special. It took a year to bed in the Nienaber defence. It will probably take something similar, if not more, to get Tony Brown’s attack right.

Pollard and Le Roux struggled out there. Wiese made a lot of mistakes. Moodie also off the pace in his first match back. Hope they get some game time against the Argies to see if they can turn it around.

Enjoyed this test. That bom squad the difference again. Pollard tried to hard but it's obvious SMZ is just in another class on attack. Willie had a great test. The All Blacks not far off.

There's no point in doing a warm-up before a game in Argentina, you'd have to be doing shuttle runs during your own anthem to be anywhere near warmed up for the kick off

Boks winning now while not playing perfectly. Sign of a good team. NZ had us on the ropes again.
