Almost too depressing to read. Gonna be a long month and Christ knows what after.

Yep, getting into a if it happens it happens mood. But I'll save my angst till Trump does get in and then have a good rant about how fecked things are going to be in a number of aspects of the globe, and how little the US voter won't care... until the realities of the interdependence of the world economies strikes them hard and then they'll blame everybody but themselves.lemonhead wrote: ↑Sun Oct 13, 2024 4:53 pm https://edition.cnn.com/2024/09/30/poli ... index.html

The horse in the hospital was a good joke, but once was enoughFlockwitt wrote: ↑Sun Oct 13, 2024 7:15 pmYep, getting into a if it happens it happens mood. I just don’t understand how anyone buys the Deep State stuff from him. He was fucking President! Was he not curious enough to have a look behind the curtains in the Oval Office in his 4 years?

The curtains were coated with spaghetti in tomato sauce, would you lift them back?
He knows. He spent 3 years in the shitter reading classified documents.
Seriously, that would require actual work from the fat slug; never gonna happen.

Skim reading classified documents at most, and then only for commentary on himself or cool stuff he could should his followers whether authorised or not.
If only he actually read the classified documents. I think we'd all expect he's still not bothering to do so now, and he will be getting papers each day.

Shit ... I have allergic rhinitis and allergic conjunctivitis as well ... am I dying too! My doctor told me it was hay fever 50 years ago should I sue the uninformed bastard given I've been dying for the past 50 years without realizing it. Thank feck Trump alerted me that this is 'very messy and dangerous'. Who would have thought? Anyway off to write my will and pick my coffin so toodle pip!
An excellent, but quite long, article on why many don’t want to fix the ‘border crisis’ … spoiler, cheap and easy labour is critical to the economy.

It made me think about our Temporary Foreign Worker program, which like the US it seems, heavily relies in it for agriculture. The article mostly talks about construction and it seems there are several more hurdles to jump to get and keep workers for non-ag jobs: https://www.cfr.org/backgrounder/us-tem ... a-programs

Yep. It makes an easy political target but with full employment labour isn’t always easy to get and getting stuff done does help drive the economy.Niegs wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2024 2:45 pm An excellent, but quite long, article on why many don’t want to fix the ‘border crisis’ … spoiler, cheap and easy labour is critical to the economy.

Will that sort it out? Do I drink or inject it?
I've gone on a health diet to help sort it out ... I've been eating Big Macs for breakfast, lunch and dinner but it has not made much difference apart from my adult diaper getting full very quickly. The bright light down my throat has been very illuminating.

If America elects trump again they deserve everything that happens to them.
The man is a literal drooling moron. Peter Thiel will get his catamite to invoke the 25th amendment and you will have the start of an oligarch controlled executive that does away with US political institutions and rules for the benefit of the billionaires.

The whole thread is wild.
Watch the lad on the far left.Trump questions why the Civil War wasn't settled before it started, saying "Lincoln was probably a great president although I've always said, why wasn't that settled?"
