Really sad to hear that, not least as we will soon move to Oundle.

Legend in his own way / mind.

Yup, it's mostly thanks to him I've been enjoying cryptics for the last, er, 15 years maybe? More perhaps. I still do 3-4 grids a week, and try to spread the love of that great game in my (French) circles, so I have a thought about him every now and then after all these years.
Enzedder, if ever you're in touch with his surely lovely "Management", extend our sympathy to her please.

Smooth sailing, Neville.

The Mortuary one was an absolute belter. Hooked me in good and proper. Hopefully he was as eccentric in real life as he was on the old place. RIP

Enzedder, do please extend my belated condolences to Globus's "Management", or let me know (if you know) how I might do that myself.

RIP Globby, a character for sure. From the sidelines it always amusing to see his exaggerated one-upmanship, a gifted WUM.

Was convinced he was a construct for some time. Had some correspondence with him a few years back and he was a decent person. Someone needs to tell the Thurrock 7 his nemesis has passed.
He’s sawed his last skull open. RIP

I would joke about the need for firm evidence of his demise, given his occasional loose grip on accuracy, but that would be mean-spirited.

He was one of a kind, and I'm very sorry to hear this news.

Wasn't there some harassment of a female poster also?
