Neville John Oakes passed away on 18th September 2024 aged 74 years. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends

Yup, it's mostly thanks to him I've been enjoying cryptics for the last, er, 15 years maybe? More perhaps. I still do 3-4 grids a week, and try to spread the love of that great game in my (French) circles, so I have a thought about him every now and then after all these years.
The Mortuary one was an absolute belter. Hooked me in good and proper. Hopefully he was as eccentric in real life as he was on the old place. RIPSaintK wrote: Sun Oct 27, 2024 10:52 am Who can forget some of his greatest hits!

Mate, I been interacting with Gloatbus a lot longer than most. He was a knob 90% of the time.
