Yep. This false modesty on the part of springbok fans is just such a pile of wank.
False modesty my ass, were just giving credit where it's due. Not our fault Scotland fans are just not accustomed to getting it. I'd blame your 6N brothers and sisters.

Yup, people see the Boks at their best demolishing everyone and think we play like that for the whole season....we don't. We inexplicably fail to turn up at least twice every year.

But not a bad replacement to call up.
Yeah hope it is not to serious and he gets back quickly. We have had several locks on very lengthy injuries over the last couple of years. Luckily we have some serious depth in that position.

It's actually looking quite nice for Sunday at the moment.

15 degrees, sunny, bit of a wind but nothing much. It will change though.
Just checked the weather app. Decent, calm weather the whole week

Rassie trying to play the victim card, purely for domestic consumption back in SA. His own supporters will eat it up and pretend it's him making a real effort but until he shows any genuine thought for his past bullshit he is still a dick.

Sponsorship deal might have something to do with it as well - major brands don't want to be associated with some of the shit he's pulled.

He won't do that until he retires and writes a book. No active coach would ever apologise in a believable manner. That's for your golden years.....

No, he'll never do it because he genuinely, in his heart of hearts, doesn't think he's done anything to apologise for.

Well he don't have to. Rugby in South Africa is huge. It's sort of the only thing that works well. The proof is in the pudding, created by Rassie. He has been different from his starting days at the Cheetahs. The sort of the unknown that is coming. The highest trees catches the strongest winds. Long may this continue.

There is a big Rassie influence in Scottish rugby. Called Franco Smith. Real Vrystaters. From the same coaching structures.

Yeah, really unfortunate for him. I also think he would have been the starting 5 for the boks this tour.

Springboks look like playing two different starting teams. England in 6 days. Will be interesting to see the which one is an A or B team. Against Scotland I heard through the vineyards it will be
Willie le Roux, Mapimpi, Am, AE, Moodie, Pollard, Reinach, Wiese, PSdT, Kolisi, Etsebeth, Mostert, Wilco, Bongi,Ox
England
Fassie, Kolbey, Kriel, Ellende, KLA, Libbok, Hendricks, Wiese, PSdT, Kolisi, Etsebeth, RG, Wilco, Marx, Ox

I think he probably does, but he is also a deity in SA which doesn't give him much wiggle room. His constant hinting at being a bit sorry followed by doubling down on the SA/Millwall spirit so what can we do, is extremely irritating.

Another consequence of a Sunday game, just been into town and didn’t see a single Bokke jersey. No doubt not wanting to waste a days holiday so all arriving tomorrow. It’s a shame, should be building nicely

Do you usually see Bok jerseys in town?

The Boland towns usually black out on a saturday IF the All Blacks won. You need to switch on your head lights going to town.

The will be a few thousand Bokke supporters up for this one so I would expect we will see loads tomorrow.

Back in the 90’s for Welsh games you could get 10-15,000 Welsh supporters up here for the 6Nations, most without tickets but just up for the weekend. Princes Street would be a mass of red from about Wednesday. Great days

Kwagga starting at 8 is a bit of a worry. I cannot remember one good game he played for the boks when he started at 8 against top tier opposition. His impact is so much better off the bench.
Decent team but sad Hanekom did not at least get a bench spot. This team combination might be rusty as they have not played much rugby together as a unit so I hope they can put a performance in as a unit, it can easily be a disjointed performance that Scotland can benefit from.

Kyle Rowe didn't quite make it, but by the sounds of things both he and Darcy Graham will be fit for Portugal and the Wallabies

That's about as heavy a pack as we could have picked, as strong a set of backs as was available. Line out will be relentlessly attacked so we better have a few in the back pocket to change it up. As I said a while ago, the books will bash us off the breakdown and aside from a few flashes of skill for a couple of scores well be dominated and comfortably beaten. Very worried if Zander goes down with an injury (Kwagga Smith starting to deliberately cheap shot him obviously).
And are there two g’s in Bugger Off?

That front 5 look incredibly vulnerable, particularly Etzebeth and Mostert against our 2.

I'm very surprised to see Jordan in at 15 - I guess him and Kinghorn will be rotating quite a bit but it's a huge ask after 20 minutes of international rugby.

Eeeek.
