Conditions were awful, which you'd think would favour a physically big and powerful team.
But I would agree the french league is high quality.
One of my close friends I stayed with in the Summer is a former LaR player [/globus] and he thought they'd struggle this year. Reckoned too many players had got comfortable and it needed a clear out.
Those sort of conditions would have helped I guess: sides who can run with the ball are the ones who have really troubled LaR.
I see that Bernol's opening comment was that Russel never changes

I assume he had one of his lack of game management/control showings?
