Glasgow Team for the big boys cup against Quinns
To no-ones surprise Sione gets a break, with Stafford taking his place after serving his suspension , Jack Mann after 6 games in a row also gets a rest, allowing Dempsey to come back in after injury. A Pretty fully loaded team allowing for Steyn / Horne & Williamson being on the injury list.
One to watch - Euan Ferrie makes an appearance in the 2nd row , Euan is (another) one of the promising young forwards along with Samuel / Hiddleston/Williamson/Mann/Brown , who will probably be the spine of the Glasgow pack for the forthcoming years. Still see him more as a Flanker rather than a lock - the new Bpb Harley ( or is that Gregor Brown )

I’ve ignored him (you can click on his name and mark him as a ‘foe’) and that means he only appears on the thread if people respond to his nonsense.SomersetJock wrote: ↑Fri Jan 17, 2025 3:13 pmIt’s possible the worst I have seen, which is quite staggering !

Excellent post, I will never need to read such pish banter ever again from that one
In other news, do you have water ?

Actually we do. We’re fortunate enough to be just outside the affected area. I’m guessing you don’t, given Rydal is closed?SomersetJock wrote: ↑Fri Jan 17, 2025 3:40 pmYr Alban wrote: ↑Fri Jan 17, 2025 3:23 pmI’ve ignored him (you can click on his name and mark him as a ‘foe’) and that means he only appears on the thread if people respond to his nonsense.SomersetJock wrote: ↑Fri Jan 17, 2025 3:13 pm

Give me a bell if we can help you out in any way.

He'd probably get more interaction if he came across as a good guy with interesting points of view.
Takes all sorts, I suppose, though I can't understand why anyone would prefer to be a wanker all the time
I think I've asked this before but have clearly forgotten. Can you watch from the start of the match on Premier player if the game is still in progress? Won't be up in time to watch from the start so will watch the weegie recording first if needs be.
Yes, there is a "watch from the start" or "watch live" option
Currently making my way to The Stoop for tonight's game.
Was at Gloucester vs Quins a few weeks ago, got to say Quins were really quite rank. Almost as bad as Scotland in the Dan Parks era.
Quins can do better than that, and Glasgow are still Scottish. Even so should be a BP win for the weegies.

Only saw a few minutes but that included a monster hit from him

‘Upper body problem’ according to the article, after a training injury. Could mean virtually anything, but guessing (baselessly) it’s a rib.
Hopefully he’ll be fine, but it really would be peak Scotland to lose our captain, and currently one of the most on-form players in Europe, for a 6N where we (whisper it) just might have a chance.

Why? They gave a penalty. Nobody gets a yellow for playing the man in the air.KingBlairhorn wrote: ↑Sat Jan 18, 2025 8:17 pmIt was the line out where he was taken out in the air, landed flat on his forearm. I’d be unsurprised if it’s broken. Should really have been looked at again.

Because it looked to me live like the defender went under him and took his legs out. I’ve seen a yellow for that in the past. It’s dangerous.I like neeps wrote: ↑Sat Jan 18, 2025 8:32 pmWhy? That’s why I couldn’t understand why they took down a full teamKingBlairhorn wrote: ↑Sat Jan 18, 2025 9:44 pmThat’s what I thought looking at the table. Is it a seeding thing they are playing for then, there is some sort of reward for winning I thought? Not that it’s likely at this point.

Top of the group mean you’re at home in the quarterfinal as well as last 16KingBlairhorn wrote: ↑Sat Jan 18, 2025 9:44 pmThat’s what I thought looking at the table. Sione out for the whole 6N ( possibly )
“He had an assessment this morning,” said Smith. “I don’t know the extent of it yet – I know that the feedback around the player will e given tonight and tomorrow, As we have been involved down here [preparing for and playing a game in London], I haven’t heard the final assessment yet.
“I think he might have injured his pec. It was a freakish injury. It was just something that happened. We weren’t suspicious about it, we just wanted to make sure it was nothing serious. But we will have more clarity tomorrow.”

Not a doctor but must be a sprain, a torn pecking and you'd know quickly. They do in the nfl anyway.Dogbert wrote: ↑Sun Jan 19, 2025 11:09 am Sione out for the whole 6N ( possibly )
