Been aggressive and a lot illegal but aided by Ire's lack of any creativity so far.

For the record, Dirty Old Town was written by one of the Scottish diaspora about a town in northern England

Good old test match this !!

I'm more than a bit worried that us picking a bunch of pensioners on the bench will screw us in the end

Every time I see Gibson-Park at a ruck with his back to the camera, my brain registers his bald head and goes, "Stringer".

That's weird, someone stepped a fullback but he didn't fall over and still managed to make the tackle??

Can someone tell me the last time (if ever) Steward made a last man tackle? How the hell is he anywhere near an international XV?

Mitchell's effort was bloody poor as well. Very soft try.

Come on you lot, it was a difficult tackle to make and I think he has had a really decent half

Thought England started solidly, got the first try, promptly dropped the restart, then seemed to be under pressure for the rest of the half really.

Defence was a little wild, a little lacking in discipline at times, but both collectively and individually a good ferocity to it and we've scrambled well at times. Some of Ireland's attacking has been absolute toilet though tbf. That try after the defensive effort preceding it was really disappointing, but at least got the lead back to 5 with that little flurry at the end of the half.

Obviously in the balance at the break. Hopefully not doing that amount of defending second half though and can have more platform with the ball.

Oil tanker agility.

TBF any full back covering across like that has a fair chance of being stepped by JGP there.

The issue is that Steward was a sure thing. He gets stepped in that scenario every single time.

Edit - In isolation Mitchell was the worse miss there

Steward was always getting stepped after he massively overcooked his arrival on the scene.

England playing with big intensity.
Will they be able to keep it up?

Ireland have been forcing things a bit. Need to calm down and get some continuity going.

Usually as we're ahead we play it safe and kick the ball a lot.

Mitchell does some good things at times, but I always get the impression at test level he tries to play at a pace/style where he writes cheques his ability then can't quite cash.
