If he was sparked out then the HIA doesn't even come into play, its just straight into the return to play protocols
Finn Russell is the one I was on about. He didn’t look great walking off and I’d be somewhat surprised if he came back.

That was a bad one indeed , never nice to see players just fold down like that even if it’s a temp ragdoll moment

Presumably while Russell's been off getting his HIA they've been timing it even though the match clock is stopped? They're only supposed to take 15 minutes iirc and if the player hasn't been cleared in that time they can't go back on.

I don't know, maybe I don't read blitz defences well, but Ireland's always looks well offside to me.

If Scotland are in touch at half time they have done remarkably well

Pretty much describes every aspect of their game except perhaps scrambled defence on their own goal line.

Excellent finish, Scotland somehow vaguely still in a game Ireland should be winning by 30

Great finish by VdM.

Ireland playing well, but not making enough of their opportunities. Hope it doesn't bite them in the second half.

Looks like the ref has found some balance, despite not seeing things quite how we might.

Not seeing that as deliberate, to be a yc to be honest. Sorry

Deffo, nobody flings their arm across like that and then in . Lovely bit of cheating though to get away with it, I heartily approve

Are there/have there been any kiwi refs who aren’t hopeless?
