It’s so frustrating when it happens. Scotland have been so bad at restarts for years now and like you say, I can’t understand how it hasn’t been coached out of them by nowfishfoodie wrote: Sat Mar 01, 2025 9:39 pmSlick wrote: Sat Mar 01, 2025 9:36 pmLast 5 seconds. Seems the bounce for Welsh Rugby wasn't just to the Internationals, as Cardiff looked a bit fightier against Leinster too, but if players have brain fade in the last 5 mins that makes life so much easier too![]()

It's not like we haven't seen a load of games lost at the death over the last few years.
I suppose it's always easier standing on the ditch than it is on the field; but it is something you can, & should coach to players

Looking at the log. 9 points difference between 4th and 15th.fishfoodie wrote: Sat Mar 01, 2025 9:24 pm 38 - 30 FT
Connacht stop the rot with a win in a really entertaining game, that just epitomized how close the URC is, with it going right down to the gun, & Benetton could have won it, but Connachts subs were better, & that little bit of a home advantage & the crowd behind you got Connacht over the line.
Yesterday also show that SA teams can beat each other on any day. Which is great for SA rugby.

Actually I don't mean that, they're a great team who are under-resourced yet playing fantastic rugby and I feel they deserve more.
Dobbo is getting hell from supporters
White doesn't give a f.

Willie was Willie yesterday. The Bulls backs can't excuse the weather because 90% of them learned their trade in the Western Cape.
Matthew maybe a good option for the kak weather on your coming up. But SMZ, Libbok and Willemse will be available.

My calculations were wrong. Stormers is top of the log. Sharks need to win against the Lions with 22 points. Bonus point win will also give them the SA shieldOomStruisbaai wrote: Sat Mar 01, 2025 6:21 pm Bulls win SA shield, Stormers 2nd, Sharks 3rd, Lions 4th. Sound right.
Also the reason why they went for poles for the last penalty. Jake White's orders.
Nice of the Sharks surprise us with their annual diabolical fuck-up performance for Saturday. Especially after giving us hope against the Bulls.
What an absolute shit-show. Not a single player looked like they even wanted to be there.
Full credit to the Lions who are full deserved winners, and we're lucky they didn't post 50.
Yet again, we are totally incapable of defending against mauls. Every team just needs a lineout close to our line, and it's an easy 5 points.

Lions back to normal
Indeed. Not protecting the ball. At least they are making lots of turnovers to save their skin.
Sharks should be 5 tries ahead instead of just 5 points at HT. Francious Venter is a crap 12 & Kolisi is a rubbish #8
They are all wanting to coach England.Sandstorm wrote: Sat Mar 08, 2025 12:25 pm Who coaches SA players to kick the ball downfield when on attack instead of keeping the ball in hand. It literally NEVER results in a positive outcome for your team.
WHY DO IT?????????????![]()

Do you rate the shield now?
You obviously don't. Nah. Just another trinket to add to our cabinet
It is the most important trophy in the competition, even more so than the URC trophy.
Probably just behind the RWC in terms of global competitions.

In all seriousness, it's a bit of a nothing-trophy. But considering where we were this time last year, I'll take it as an indication that we're heading in the right direction. And at least Plumtree, despite the criticism he is constantly under, can say it goes well with the Challenge Cup and Currie Cup trophies in the cabinet.
But we all know the bigest prize is losing to Leinster in the final.

I still say they should count the points from the derbies between the SA teams towards the Currie Cup, that will put more importance on the games than the so called shield, and that will be 6 less games on the calendar for them, even better that could be 6 weeks extra rest for the players. I never here anyone outside of the media being excited about winning the shield, for me it is a bit of a "participation award" to not feel bad if you do not win the competition.assfly wrote: Mon Mar 10, 2025 6:45 am In all seriousness, it's a bit of a nothing-trophy. @ulstermen
Are the east terrace seats any good? Are they even seats?
How the hell Ulster justifies £60-130 for non-goal stand tickets for a game against the Sharks is beyond me.
