Off in a boot, & the commentators agreed it looked like a break, but the broadcasters at least spared us a replay.

Hopefully it's a simple one, if that's it; it's preferable to most of the other possibilities.

To be honest, if Leinster don't win the HC they must be favourites for the URC after tonight. I still think they will face a different challenge against UBB or Toulouse

Obviously I hope Leinster can get that 5th star; I think bringing in RG & Barrett will be the difference; they needed quality imports in their previous wins, & their last couple of failures were characterized by just not having the beef to compete thru all the rounds.

If the competition becomes just a contest between France & England it will cease to be a competition, so the URC needs to keep us in it, & Leinster right now is in the best position to stop that happening.

I have a soft spot for Toulouse, always have. They have always been the team that embodied the brutality up front and the French flair behind the pack - they are an easy team to support.

I get what you are saying re the URC, but I'm less bothered about the origin of the country of the team that wins it, I just love the competition and some very dodgy things happening colour my view of an otherwise excellent Leinster team over the years. I think Mack Hansen was right to call it out, not enough people involved in the games do so.

Ultimately I go Celtic if Toulouse are not involved - I know Edinburgh aren't going to be any time soon. So I'll support The Dubs if and when they get to Cardiff and it's not against ST.

With Chapman apparently signing for Exeter, it takes another potential SQ 9 for Edinburgh off the table.

With Price going and Shiel OOC and not really doing much to merit a new one that leaves Vellacott as the only 9 under contract for next year. Most/all the decent SQ 9s are under contract elsewhere. So where do Edinbugh go at 9 from here?
- Resign Shiel? For a 27 year old, he only has 15 starts in the league or big European Cup and 22 starts in total. He's been the "young 9" of the Edinburgh trio forever. Does he merit a spot blocking the academy guys?
- One of the Glasgow guys? That would hurt Glasgow.
- Use the academy?
- A decent NSQ 9 to help bring structure and maybe help Thomson and Scott?
- A journeyman NSQ 9 to fill a jersey?

I am awaiting this one with slight trepidation. On the one hand, I feel like the players all know the assignment when it comes to playing the Bulls and should be able to benefit from the home advantage. However, they are also capable of playing like absolute donkeys. We will see which team turns up.
