Eight major champions in the top 11. This is the best golf tournament in the world.

Phenomenal stuff from Rose. Will it be enough?

Do they go to a playoff hole if they’re tied?

Stunning second on the 17th by Rory for a great chance at a birdie and the lead

EDIT: That would be Blackmac’s birdie

I don't think I have ever wanted anyone to par a hole so much.

Crazy to think he had 10 birdies round Augusta.

Same.

I can only see it on the Masters site which shows the play about five minutes after it's done

After RM’s two double bogies in the first round, one of the commentators said no one has ever won the masters with more than two double bogies. Rory now has four.

Watching on the BBC website and it’s a bit confusing, did he miss the green from 125 yards?

Rose must be slight favourite.

He's shot a 66 and hasn't just fucked it. Again.

McIlroy has shot a 73.

I’ll be genuinely happy for either of them tbh. But I’d love mcilroy to get the career grand slam. But I’d also love rose to win, second oldest winner of the masters behind Nicklaus

Winning the amateur at St Andrews?

Yeah.

Yep. Astonishing. Then seemed to rush the bunker shot and the putt. Even if he wins this will take a terrible toll on him mentally.

Let's hope that has killed the monkey on his back and he gets half a dozen more majors before he gets too old. McIlroy is clearly one of the best golfers to have ever played the game, he's just not quite as strong mentally as the two greatest.

Also, I reckon now the monkey is off his back, he’ll rack up another four or five majors. He’s only 35.

Not sure what pleases me more, seeing Trump's sycophant implode or seeing Rory get it over the line. Either way, win-win.

So pleased for Rory! I really like the guy and in the interviews after he won he weren't the usual boring 'yes I hit a 7 iron with a slight fade' interview instead he opened up about the pressure he felt and his emotions on the day. Top sportsmen tend not to admit to being very very nervous before and during a match and letting it affect his game but he did. He wasn't afraid nor embarrassed to show and talk about his emotions and to talk honestly and openly about how he felt and who he owed for getting to where he is. He has natural talent in the bucket loads but is also a nice guy and as normal as he can be unlike the multiple shagger, drunk and junkie Woods who has never been a very nice guy and treated many folk very badly. I know who my hero is!

Beautiful clubs when I hit them properly, high flight, 10 yard longer and better dispersion. I got a 4 iron which I actually hit better than my 4 hybrid funnily enough. I heard that this has been one of the best springs ever for Taylormade and they are selling like hotcakes. Unfortunately they are struggling with supplies a little so if you haven't got them yet there might be a few extra weeks wait?
I'm just extremely concerned to see that Rory is playing the same clubs. Beginning to think the fitter is taking the piss.
Did you get the Project X 7.0 (XX stiff) shafts as well as Rory? Augusta next year?

PS Master pick is Xander Schauffele for me!
Cruden Bay defo a 'top 10' course in scotland in my view - great test, some great views 🤞you get the weather
Agreed - Cruden Bay now in my top 10 courses in Scotland, a fantastic course. We were lucky and played in 18 degrees and a light wind ... in April! Fraserburgh was a close second and if they did something with the 1st and 18th holes it could be a match for Cruden Bay. Scotscraig was a different challenge, flatter and more of a heathland course but still great fun. We had just fantastic weather all three days. I now want to go back and play these courses again now I know how I should have played them! The par5 6th at Cruden Bay was a beast and I played it all wrong and carded an 8 mostly because I had not a feckin clue where the feck I was going and hadn't appreciated the burn was in front of the green!!!

We stopped off to look at Trump International and to look at the new second course they are building. Most of the holes are completed that we could see and the rest will be finished this year. I refused to spend any money on the premises! However the existing and new course look fantastic unfortunately I wont be playing either whilst the Tango Twat owns them, not a great loss given all the other fantastic courses in the area!

It would have been good if he had done it with a bit less drama. Not sure he's exorcised all his demons. I hope he has and picks up at least 5 more to properly cement his place near the top of the game.

Cruden Bay seems to be finally getting the recognition it deserves. Played it half a dozen times as a kid and would love to go back.

I'm the same about Trump. I hate it on the Scottish Golf Facebook pages when folk are defending the courses and giving it the old "don't mix golf and politics". It's gone far beyond politics and I would barely lose a seconds sleep if the courses were ploughed back into the dunes.

Loveing seeing JT closing out the win in the RBC; a long time coming !!!

I'm sure Rory will be right out congratulating him on the 'W', because they're great friends, & JT is a very decent guy & much liked in the Tour.

Dont know if folk saw this on the news but there is limited cheap availability on some of the St Andrews courses - see link. Took me all of 2 mins to enter the Old Course ballot. I think they are doing this every month over the summer? Dedicated tee times for NHS, Armed Forces etc. Only small number of tee times but worth a punt - you have to be in it to win it!
