It's France. Of course Govt sponsored things would be tax free but everyone else must pay his fair dues..........

Last game of the weekend, very big crowd at UBB and Toulouse have picked a weakened team.

What a shame. I suppose the real shoot out between these two will come much later in the season

That almost came back to haunt you. UBB are so scarred after last year's Brennus that they almost threw away a 29-0 HT lead. Exemplified by Jalibert's intercept (a la Russell ;¬) ) and that hopeless pen miss. Fre minds remain incredibly fragile when favourites and/or pressure comes to bear.

I saw the final score and rued that I’d switched off at half time, expecting a real hiding. The ST guys were playing for first team places in many cases and they were very much second best in that first period.

Is it Andrew Mehrtens on co-coms? Whoever it is really doesn't like Toulouse.

Stade Français have got themselves back into whilst a player up - 14-17.

Macalou is having a big game, even if he was held up over the line after a stonking run

Mehrtens it is right enough.

Another terrific player who doesn't really know his arse from his elbow when it comes to the modern game twenty odd years after he retires

He should get a ban for that.

To quote Del, what a plongeur. I'd give him a 4-6 week ban, but I suspect the game just ignores it

Simon Daroque, 19 year old Toulouse scrum half, really looks the part.

Quick update Biarritz has been demoted from pro d2 to Nationale.

Cash issues, they were bailed out last year but did not show they had balanced the book since.

Gents, when do the Top14 and ProD2 fixtures usually come out?

I’m thinking of a long weekend somewhere down Montpellier / Beziers way in October with the idea of getting maybe three games in.
And are there two g’s in Bugger Off?
