Being too arrogant and he won't find life so easy when he plays a proper side [Leinster]/comes up against Josh van der Flier. Blah blah. I think it was also partly to do with people being more interested in Saints' games in the European knockouts than Leinster's domination of some deeply inferior teams.PornDog wrote: Sat May 03, 2025 5:24 pmAbout what? To be fair, if you take out the try, a lot of that is true so farsockwithaticket wrote: Sat May 03, 2025 5:30 pmBeing too arrogant and he won't find life so easy when he plays a proper side [Leinster]/comes up against Josh van der Flier. The Leinster lads on reddit (and there are a lot of them) have been frothing.
The focus on Pollock reminded me a lot of people ragging on Ashton for the 'Ash splash' as if he was the only winger in the world to regularly dive over the line tbh. People who just don't like a cocksure young player who can back it up, so they pick at any and eveything.
I think he's done fine, some good some bad.Slick wrote: Sat May 03, 2025 5:34 pmTo be fair, if you take out the try, a lot of that is true so farsockwithaticket wrote: Sat May 03, 2025 5:30 pmBeing too arrogant and he won't find life so easy when he plays a proper side [Leinster]/comes up against Josh van der Flier. You must have come across Irish rugby supporters before?sockwithaticket wrote: Sat May 03, 2025 5:38 pmI think he's done fine, some good some bad.Slick wrote: Sat May 03, 2025 5:34 pmTo be fair, if you take out the try, a lot of that is true so farsockwithaticket wrote: Sat May 03, 2025 5:30 pm

The Leinster fans taking umbrage seemed to think anyone hyping up some of the things he's been doing in recent weeks aren't fully aware he's a 20 year old in his first season of senior rugby and that playing what is essentially the Irish national team is a big challenge for anyone, let alone a lad so early in his career.
His tackling has been absolutely appalling. Someone like Marcus Smith at least puts in the effort and is brave, Prendergast just doesn’t seem in the least bit interested or have any technique. Hard to overstate how poor he has been in that respectsalanya wrote: Sat May 03, 2025 5:34 pm Prendergast desperately needs some tackle lessons.
Or maybe just some more fire up his arse to make tackles.
Can see Leinster scoring several tries, but with the defence today, I can't see Saints not scoring any further tries.
