Behind Leinster, Glasgow provides most players from a single club

I always think I’m losing interest until the squad is announced
I always look forward to it.Slick wrote: Thu May 08, 2025 6:43 pmI always think I’m losing interest until the squad is announced
I’ll be honest. I fell out of love with the Lions in the years when we had hardly any representation, and no Test Lions at all. It’s a representative side, after all, and I didn’t feel represented. Yes, I could accept we didn’t have a good team, but there were still good players in it who were passed over because they played for an unsuccessful international team. The real slap in the face was when we actually started winning again, still got hardly anyone picked, and were told by Gatland it was because we weren’t winning away from home. As if anyone was on a regular basis.
I’m hoping I’ve got past the GatlandIsACunt phase of the Lions and will enjoy the tests in the summer.Yr Alban wrote: Thu May 08, 2025 7:07 pmI’ll be honest. However, I still like the concept, and as long as we have even one or two guys who make the team (highly likely) then it makes it easier to get the buy-in.
No they don't, the "club" from Northampton doDogbert wrote: Thu May 08, 2025 6:32 pmThe look on Matt Fagerson's face , of surprise , shock, and the delight for Scott shows how much it means to the players

That's a lot of beef - makes poor Rory Darge at 6 ft 1 and 16 stone look positively tiny.Dogbert wrote: Fri May 09, 2025 11:09 am URC Champions Team for Benetton

It's fucking ridiculous.Big D wrote: Fri May 09, 2025 1:22 pm At some point Dobie is going to need to decide if he's a 9 or a wing. Now approaching 30% of his pro starts on the wing. It's not letting him be the best 9 he can be.
I think that it's been decided he's a winger. Starts more at wing than 9 these days, and he's starting at wing over front line wingers.Big D wrote: Fri May 09, 2025 1:22 pm At some point Dobie is going to need to decide if he's a 9 or a wing. That's a shame. His road to regular international rugby is unlikely to be wing imo.I like neeps wrote: Fri May 09, 2025 5:41 pmI think that it's been decided he's a winger. Yeah, he does a job for Glasgow on the wing because he is a very capable rugby player but his ceiling at scrum half is much higher.Big D wrote: Fri May 09, 2025 9:19 pmThat's a shame. With 3 very good scrums halfs all needing game time-, and both Horne and Afshar really mainly being scrum halfs , the equation is always going to be difficultBig D wrote: Fri May 09, 2025 9:19 pmThat's a shame. Clearly read that out in the pre match talk.

We’ve been crap and getting worse each gameKingBlairhorn wrote: Sat May 10, 2025 6:49 pm Glasgow must have been nilled in 5 or 6 halves of rugby over the last couple of months. Very unlike them.
