My friend used to stream the occasional rugby match but none of the streams load any more on Brave browser and the streams are unwatchable with pop ups and new tabs opening using Chrome or Firefox.

Does anyone else have friends in need like I do?

My friend has managed to get it working after a bit of a struggle. I hear he's using Chrome with AdBlock. There were a few popups but once he got past them it's working fine. So I hear.

My friend asks which adblocker to use as there are flipping loads apparently.

Had a word, it's just called AdBlock.

Yep, my mate says it's becoming harder to find good ones, and the ones he finds are becoming more cumbersome. He finds that using a VPN can sometimes help, but that's about all he can suggest I'm afraid.

I'm told that a vanilla Firefox installation with noscript and ublock origin might still work. Apparently a VPN is often required.

My friend can't get the rugby streams to play but the women's soccer links his other friend watches always seem to work. :problem:

This dovetails with the recent news that Premier Sport is hoovering up Rugby contracts all over. Probably putting effort into stopping illegal streams at the same time.

My friend has found PS exceptionally difficult to find dodgy streams for the European games having decided another £70 sub was a bridge too far. The same friend has also discovered there are no pubs in SW Hertfordshire with a PS subscription

I run Firefox as my preferred browser, have done for years. I don't trust google to provide my browsing.

I've loaded the following add ons. I sometimes struggle to get a page or link to load and have to retry or 'time' my click to avoid the hotlinking... can be cumbersome but I'm still getting the content I want.

ublock origin is very good for my friend ( on firefox, chrome has blocked it and should be avoided)

uBlock Origin Lite still works on Chrome

Didn't work for me, er, my friend, his stream just wouldn't load with it active. That's when he tried AdBlock. I think.

The amount of issues that can be resolved by blocking javascript and just enabling it for the sites that require it should not be inderestimated.

Not sure what the problem is here. Firefox or Vivaldi work fine without interference as long as you chuck in

Trouble with blocking JS across the piece is it will break many sites entirely. I tend to use Greasemonkey with targeted scrip lists.

I am informed that those weren't working reliably yesterday.

No issues for me when using Vivaldi (my pref). I do find occasionally Firefox simply blocks everything, incl the stream.

Is the Rugby Championship still on Sky Sports in the UK?

I can get a discount to twenty five quid a month for a six month minimum subscription and if I start now I will get to see who is who in the Oz teams in Super Rugby, plus the Lions and then the RC if they still have it.

I get really fed up with steaming sites, they almost always fuck up for me and the pop ups and porn shite piss me off.

Hmmmmm…hard to tell at the moment. Lions Series is on Sky (schedule is already on their website), but TRC is showing on TNT website schedule. It’s not until mid August, so we may have to wait a bit.

I have tried three times over the last fortnight to look at some games without paying. Not a freaking chance, no matter what browser I used.

A friend said that Firefox with uBlock Origin is doing the job for him. He added that sometimes a VPN might be needed.

He's a popular chap it seems and has just informed me that this combination is working just fine as we speak.
