There's definitely only going to be 1 fallow week from now on but I thought all games were on a Saturday.Slick wrote: Fri May 16, 2025 11:37 am Just seen a very odd graphic apparently showing the confirmed fixtures but has Ireland v France as the opening fixture on a Thursday night and only one rest weekend

The days/dates are all wrong on that website. First game at night on the Saturday, they never had next years calendar when they created it.Marylandolorian wrote: Fri May 16, 2025 2:58 pm I had a quick look and got something different , Fra/Irl March 8

You’re right, none of the official rugby sites put the dates yet.GrahamWa wrote: Sat May 17, 2025 5:33 amThe days/dates are all wrong on that website. Fixtures are out now and there's a Thursday evening game to start with - France v Ireland. Not sure the Irish are going to be over pleased with that.

Fixtures out. One rest weekend and two rounds with Sunday games.
Slick was not hallucinating- kick off is on a Thursday to avoid a clash with the winter olympics opening ceremony. I am going to vomit

Also no confirmed venue as the FFR are in dispute with the SdFduke wrote: Mon May 19, 2025 11:44 am https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union ... y6gq2q0jqo

not really dispute at this time as the contractors assigned to the SdF have just been selected.Paddington Bear wrote: Mon May 19, 2025 11:45 amAlso no confirmed venue as the FFR are in dispute with the SdFduke wrote: Mon May 19, 2025 11:44 am https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union ... y6gq2q0jqo

Have to say, it will be quite fun having a game on a Thursday night, but couldn't they have just done a Super Saturday opening weekend as wellPaddington Bear wrote: Mon May 19, 2025 11:45 am Fixtures out. One rest weekend and two rounds with Sunday games.

Apparently having it on the Friday would clash with the Winter Olympics opening ceremony.Slick wrote: Fri May 16, 2025 11:37 am Just seen a very odd graphic apparently showing the confirmed fixtures but has Ireland v France as the opening fixture on a Thursday night and only one rest weekend
One rest weekend isn't a bad thing. A lot of the teams involved play 4 tests in a row during the autumn, one more game shouldn't need 2 rest weeks scattered through the tournament.
A block of 3 game weeks, rest week and then two more game weeks is good. If it turns out they really do need the extra rest week and bring it back then 2 - rest - 2 - rest - 1 would be fine, but the current momentum sapping schedule of 2 - rest - 1 rest - 2 needs to be avoided at all costs.
