All these attacks by drones thing, really is one step closer to the future as shown in the Terminator films. Be very surprised if IDF haven’t already hooked a nuke up to drone for a few test flights.
Quick google shows the smallest nuclear weapon weighed 23kg, which is far below the carrying capacity of larger drones.
Kicking off in Israel

Assuming it was a drone attack by IDF, isn't it a bit silly to give away their capability to do this?
In other news, western public opinion is gradually but inexorably turning against Israel.

I foresee a future where they have no option but to seek peace with their Arab neighbours but it could be far too late then.
Think of an apartheid south Africa that refused to give up apartheid.

There’s multiple levels of 5D chess going on here, mere mortals like us can’t comprehend what IDF want us to know or not know. May be nothing more than a test, General Reuben had a bet with General Herschel that he could take out a ship with his new toys for under $10k and needed it proven.Uncle fester wrote: Wed May 07, 2025 9:26 am Assuming it was a drone attack by IDF, isn't it a bit silly to give away their capability to do this?

So apparently the latest bright idea is a proposal of an indefinite US occupation of Gaza modelled on the 2003 Provisional Authority in Iraq (which worked out so well...). The US administration excelling itself in foreign policy once again

I don't think it likely; there are usually a whole series of links in the fuzing of nukes; this is mostly because you don't want any unauthorized person just walking off with a nuke & setting it off without authority, but also because you don't want your opponent downing your cruise missile, or drone, & taking out the warhead & dropping it back on you !!!!Yeeb wrote: Wed May 07, 2025 7:44 am All these attacks by drones thing, really is one step closer to the future as shown in the Terminator films. One of the so called PAL links on US/UK nukes was a combination lock that was supposed to be warhead specific, but in the case of the UK, they just set them all to 0.0.0.0 because they were afraid it would take too long when the klaxon started blaring.
On ICBMs there was/is one that doesn't arm until it exceeded a certain G load that meant it would only arm during re-entry, so if something went wrong, it wouldn't go kaboom over US soil.
But I suppose they could geofence the target area, & have it not arm until GPS said it'd got there, but you won't find a more risk averse bunch of people than those who work with nukes.
Cool, you sound much more clued up on them than I so bow to your knowledge , I will just prefer to live in comfortable blissful ignorance until death by old age, run over by a poolshitter at a Christmas market, or nuclear sudden Armageddon thanks to a war instigated by president Farage.fishfoodie wrote: Wed May 07, 2025 8:30 pmI don't think it likely; there are usually a whole series of links in the fuzing of nukes; this is mostly because you don't want any unauthorized person just walking off with a nuke & setting it off without authority, but also because you don't want your opponent downing your cruise missile, or drone, & taking out the warhead & dropping it back on you !!!!Yeeb wrote: Wed May 07, 2025 7:44 am All these attacks by drones thing, really is one step closer to the future as shown in the Terminator films. Tbh even nukes aside, there are plenty of other horrific nastiness I’m sure the IDf / hezbollah / Iran / US / USSR have hidden away just in case, even if just plain old tnt in MOAB quantities (need a shed load of drones for that !)

Randy Fine, republican congressman from Florida, wants Gaza nuked in response to the murder of two Jewish diplomats in Washington DC yesterday.
Sounds like a nice chap.

An Israeli perspective on the stuttering aid supplies into Gaza.

Interesting the view on the US and the pressure they put on.
