Yep. I think the Chiefs take it. Strong forwards and a more potent 9-10 combo to make things happen with the possession they get.

A very big bugger.

He must have been in the thinking for the ABs at the end of the year.

Yep, with a bit of luck he'll be back for the NPC, then hopefully the EOYT. Quality young player.

3 starts and three wins after an almost out of the top 6 without him and Proctor

PUJ can play well (Waratahs) but more thna often he won't pass, preferring to try and smash through. A big step down from Higgins

First up in tonight's double-header: Saders hosting the Highlanders in the Great Southern Derby.

Saders can go top of the table with a bonus point win, but I'm picking a tight one with the Landers just getting the upset.

Looking for a bit of a statement by the lads tonight but I am worried about Drummond up against an in-form Fakatava.

Tamaiti Williams comes in at tighthead... to face Ethan de Groot.

Tasty.

Saders ahead 10-5 at HT. Highlanders blowing too many chances.

Clan deserved to win but I'll take that. Winning ugly still gives us 4 points.

Good start to the weekend, with two tense games last night.

Very happy that the Canes held off the Reds. Surprised that Love played the whole game after hurting his elbow early. Hope it's nothing serious. Thought the Canes midfield was very good. Umaga-Jensen played well deputising for Higgins, and Proctor's distribution is so much better than Rieko's it's not funny. Roigard, Kirifi, Lakai... plenty of stand-out performances per usual.

And how many bloody good Aussie loose forwards are there running round at the moment? Joe has plenty of depth to choose from for the Lions series, that's for sure.
