That French defender was never going to be even close to tackling BB

Symptoms of a head knock include limping heavily

It’s obviously so they can bring Spring back on

Tuning in late to this, but ref seems to be very generous to defenders at the breakdown. Several offences that should have been French penalties there.

Fark me. We did that very tough. France played out of their skins in that match.

Good game that, hard fought.

That's three good games today, but we're getting rid of all this for a fake ass competition that no one will understand or give a fuck about.

Woo hoo.
And are there two g’s in Bugger Off?

Pleasing that we stayed ahead (just!) throughout the second half under intense heat.

Bloody glad we weren't playing France A!

Concerning that we lost the aerial battle so badly... could that mean a recall for Clarke?

And that Proctor had a very mixed game... which I hope doesn't mean Rieko returning to centre??

Most concerning of all - the second test's at the bloody Cake Tin... which probably means we're going to a decider.

I get the sense that Razor has pulled the plug on Rieko in 13 jersey for good. Hopefully Proctor is given a chance to redeem himself next week, failing that I think that ALB is close to full fitness.

Proctor had a very average game. Exposed defensively a couple of times, didn’t seem him much on attack other than the disallowed try.

Oh and IMHO Rieko is only getting All Black caps at this point based on past performances and name.

Not that he had a terrible game by any means but he didn't really threaten to score, took the ball into contact a few times instead of trying to beat his marker. My point is he didn't look dangerous.

Both Reiko and Proctor were poor. They get another chance and then judge again though for mine. Holland a keeper. Not sure Kirifi is going to bring much but still early days. Norris fine.

I think that the forwards all got pass marks, including the substitutes, with some playing really well (Newell, Taylor, Barrett, Holland, Ardie, Lio-Willie)

Some elements were D team. I suspect ABs will shake off rustiness to hammer Fra in the remaining 2 but made a bit of a mockery of all the whining by NZers in the run up.

Proctor made 2 mistakes in the first half, one costing a try, but was better in the 2nd. I would certainly give him another chance as really theres no one else. And he was VG in his last AB start / game

Rieko isn't a center but based esp on his 2nd half performance he's not international std on the wing either. He couldn't catch an easy kick, France B try, and was mostly missing in the 2nd half. His time at this level might be coming to an end. I hope not as apart form Jordan, who seems to prefer FB, we haven't got great wings at present. Clarke is up and down and Reece is too slow and small

Roigard looks class and Holland was VG too.

Newell was OK only (a 5). LW was fine (a 6) but needs to bulk up a lot. Barrett was a 5. I think Ardie was only a 6 as well. Holland and Taylor I agree

This was a France B or C side that did play well but still

In the back Rieko was disappointing. Proctor was Ok after a nervous start with 2 bad errors. Roigard was great. Barrett had one of his better games at 1st, Barrett 2 was the best back along with Roigard. Jordan was good but no where near as good as the super rugby final, where he was also VG under the high ball. DMac was good but we need more height at the back

Find it hard to disagree with any of your points Fire. I must admit it had me beat what happened to us under the high ball, we seemed like the Chiefs in final of super, noone semed to know who was going to claim it, and weren't real positive when they did go up etc.

On the Breakdown they were asking who would start at right wing in Wellington - Narawa got the slight edge over Jordan. I would agree with that. I want to see how he goes.

Would make sense to play Caleb Clarke on the other wing too tbh. Otherwise, keep the rest of the backline intact from the first test.

Disagree with Beaver - who says Rieko should be given a massive window to try and find some form at 11. Personally would rather someone else was given a crack.

Bit tongue in cheek but a nice dig at the number of interventions over the whole weekend.
