No money to pay for forum?
PR do not want to be associated with views of forum?
Jake friendship with management took a turn for the worse?
Disgruntled ex member campaigned for it?
The most interesting to me is Jake's disappearance after mentioning the demise. No more details or update. I reckon he threw a tantrum at management and PR was collateral damage.

Too many Queensland based PI posters dragged the thing down with the cumulative weight of their stupidity.

No Pasaran...
tis SSL enabled here, on commercially run servers, firewalls, AV and TLS, likely as secure as PR
Go through https: rather than Http:
Give a man a fire and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.
It's serving over http and https, you just have to add the s. Ideally http would redirect to https, most browsers are issuing pretty strict warnings about http sites now-a-days.
The cert is a valid Let's Encrypt one, so the site is as trustworthy as ASMO is (and his hosting provider).

Wha daur meddle wi' me?
Doh!
Apologies for the slur ASMO!
It’s a bit sad watching the old forum die. Sometimes I can get in straight away then server certificate error the next time. It’s remind me of playing Quake back in the day when in the last bits of the game the base was slowly destructing around you. Sniff
“It was a pet, not an animal. It had a name, you don't eat things with names, this is horrific!”
That'll just be how long your browser remembers your decision to continue despite the certificate being out of date.

Thankfully one of the more tech-savvy parishioners set up a superior alternative.

ASMO has always stepped in and fixed up a much better forum.
The interesting point is that Jake has always refused assistance from experts whenever there is a problem with PR.
More grist to the mill that it's all about him generating hysteria.
