If everyone else is doing it, I'd like flag blue please.

The French can take #0055A4 and be happy with it.

Unless we're doing strip colours, in which case I propose:

I'm not going to die on a hill for it, but I object to someone else stomping in, telling us we've got it wrong and are pricks, then just deciding to change it without asking, and going off to change it when others have told him to cool his jets. Feels like the history of the country in message board microcosm
So serious. Pricks said with tongue firmly in cheek has an entirely different meaning. I know it’s hard to pick up in text, but I really was having a laugh, even if I did think it should be jersey colour.

Good idea. I did post my old username but then my account got deleted for some reason. I used to be Steamin Beamin.
So I squares up, casual like.

No club rugby before October. At least the clubs will be able to open up and get some money in over the bar

All shit but fair enough.

I have wondered why clubs are not putting all their tables and chairs out on the pitches and opening as outdoor bars, could be a lucrative sideline.

On another note, wish they would start the cricket season...

When is mini Murrayfield expected to be finished? Hoping to check it out when I'm over next Easter.
And on the 7th day, the Lord said "Let there be Finn Russell".

Should be done by then. I think they’re looking at the turn of the year.

They have been back building it for the past couple of weeks and IIRC they said then that is would be roughly a couple of months until it is finished. There is an update due from the club in the coming weeks according to the MD Douglas Struth on his last post in the club site.

Another serial lurker. Feels rather liberating with so many coming out first. I imagine this is what the football world will be like in a few years time. Not bothered about shades of blue and feckin detest midges, but don't like being excluded. Sign me up for the Bite!

Used to post on PR more regularly but been more quiet as of late.

I actually ran into my avatar's namesake when I was reffing a school match. Loretto vs High School of Dundee. Didn't tell him that I shitpost on PR under his likeness though, might have been an awkward conversation. :D

Maybe memories are blighted but was Phil Godman any worse than Dan Parks? I recall genuinely thinking not but I've read a few things that seem to call that into question. .. .

As a club player, PG is not too warmly remembered at the Falcons and whilst we really have had sum pure huddies over the years his name and that of Owen Finnagan bring shudders when mentioned.

Mini Murrayfield looks awesome. The Blues, in Auckland, could do with something similar. But then Eden Park would be even more of a white elephant and get a test or two each season and some cricket.

I'm really looking forward to it. Don't get through as much as I'd like so hoping it will be a bit of an incentive for me and others like me.

If you could have combined the two, you would have had a decent fly half. Parks had a great boot but couldn't tackle, run or pass; Godman was good ball in hand but couldn't kick for toffee.

We all desperately wanted him to be, because having Parks at 10 was like having your soul removed with pliers. Then Godman got his chance, and promptly threw three interception passes in 20 minutes and gifted Italy their first away win in the 6N. At least, that’s how I remember it. Might not have been his first start, but it fairly stuck in the memory.
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

Was it not Cusiter who threw two of them? I still remember being in The Crags pub in Edinburgh, utterly bewildered at what I was seeing.

Yep, Cusiter threw 2 intercepts, Godman chipped from inside the 22 in the first minute.

We were a bit late and walked in with five minutes on the clock, took our seats and the scoreboard said 14-0. I asked the boy next to me if that was some kind of fuckup with the scoreboard and he said ‘nah, it’s fuckin real’ and that second they scored again.

Not a good day.
