I'd be willing to consider just about anyone to be honest.

Farrell proved for the umpteenth time he is a phenomenal competitor and a moderately talented fly half.
Baxter doesn't want it and McCall is presumably persona non grata like Dean Richards was
Eddie's fine, he just has his foibles when it comes to selection (like literally everyone else) and the infuriating habit of getting England to play negative kick-chase rugby away from home regardless of opposition, tournament situation, or match situation

Jones is a chancer. He gets found out time and time again. His greatest skills are managing up and leadership marketing.
Look at his CV, he's actually closed fuck all.

Gees, what happens if England come 2nd?
If NZ won the Bled or TN playing the way England played today, you'd string the coach up by the balls.
Took England to a Grand Slam, some huge number of consecutive wins, another 6N title, a world cup final, and another 6N.Kawazaki wrote: Sat Oct 31, 2020 9:52 pmJM2K6 wrote: Sat Oct 31, 2020 9:05 pmBaxter doesn't want it and McCall is presumably persona non grata like Dean Richards was

With all your world class players that should be a minimum...JM2K6 wrote: Sat Oct 31, 2020 10:09 pmTook England to a Grand Slam, some huge number of consecutive wins, another 6N title, a world cup final, and another 6N.Kawazaki wrote: Sat Oct 31, 2020 9:52 pmJM2K6 wrote: Sat Oct 31, 2020 9:05 pm

But seriously, Eddie is a dickhead. Any half decent coach should be able to coach England to a 6N. But Eddie is a dickhead and I’d like him to be well away from NH rugby

It's no better than par. 1 GS in 5 years. That's it. He loses finals. And there's no continuity, no trust and the style stinks. England are the best resourced team in the world, he's not coaching Italy or Fiji.
Interesting concept of "par". Eddie's responsible for 50% [edit: actually might be 43%, cba to check] of England's six nations titles and 50% of England's 6N Grand Slams. Eddie has a better winning percentage for England than literally every other England coach in history.

His most impressive coaching achievement is Japan beating South Africa. That is genuinely novel and impressive. And still the Japanese players despise him.
Jones is not the answer to any question concerning the future wellbeing of England rugby.
Congrats England on your 6N win. A disappointing performance today but I accept that was the first competitive run out for yonks.
These calls for Eddie’s head seem nonsense to me. Firstly, his record is pretty good relatively speaking, and England have the potential to get better under his watch. Secondly, who is a better option? I think the talk of McCall and Baxter is wishful thinking. Great records at club level over long periods of time - fact is we can’t know whether their methods would translate to the International game.
Eddie makes weird decisions sometimes, no question. However, the old babies and bath water axiom seems relevant.

It was England's 1st game in months, you can't expect them to be at their best. Did you not see how badly we played in Wellington?Kawazaki wrote: Sat Oct 31, 2020 10:01 pmEnzedder wrote: Sat Oct 31, 2020 9:56 pm England win "the greatest tournament in the world" and you want to sack him.

I'll take playing shite if it brings trophies home. Just win baby.
This 6N we:
- got turned over in Paris, started exceptionally slow then played some pretty decent rugby and had Kruis not been held up with 5 minutes to go I suspect we'd have sneaked it.
- Toughed out a pumped up Scottish side in front of a hostile crowd in a storm.
- Thumped Ireland (then admittedly went flat)
- Beat Wales much more comfortably than the scoreline suggests
- Played fairly poorly against a poor side having not played for 6 months and had our preparation scuppered by Robshaw et al.
What are we hoping for that we're not getting?

WHy drop Jones? The players all seem to admire him and believe in him, he's brought in planty of new talent, he's coached the best results since Woodward despite a shite 2018 and he has the kiwis shitting themselves.

A £20k+ match fee tends to keep criticism and mouths shut.

Didn't stop comments about Ashton, Johnson and Lancaster getting out. We've never heard any negatives from players about Eddie Jones. Ex players like Haskell say what a great coach he is.Kawazaki wrote: Tue Nov 03, 2020 12:43 pmeldanielfire wrote: Mon Nov 02, 2020 7:03 pm WHy drop Jones? Ex-players like Haskell - you just mean Haskell. If there were others you would name them.
edit: plenty of criticism in this article
