Really looking forward to seeing how the AB's bounce back after a loss in Brisbane. Selection will be crucial, does Foster continue to experiment or does he bring back some of his stars?

Will be interesting to see whether the Springboks were right to skip the RC. If Argentina is anything close to competitive, the Springboks should have been here.

The Springboks should have been here, regardless of the result of this match. They didn't come because they were angry at RA and NZR for dumping them from Super Rugby, and because all their players are in the NH and their clubs refused to release them. The 500 minute gambit was always just an excuse.Jerome_Kaino wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 9:43 am Will be interesting to see whether the Springboks were right to skip the RC. Sure, if Argentina can at least win one game with this side the Springboks should have been able to win the whole thing only with their RSA based players.Carter's Choice wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 9:50 amThe Springboks should have been here, regardless of the result of this match. Not really sure how experimental they can get with a 36-man squad minus injuries, suspensions and parental leaves.Carter's Choice wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 9:42 am Really looking forward to seeing how the AB's bounce back after a loss in Brisbane. We'll never know because the SARU are cowards. They chose to play no one rather than risk losing with their available players, which is the very definition of cowardice.Jerome_Kaino wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 9:53 amSure, if Argentina can at least win one game with this side the Springboks should have been able to win the whole thing only with their RSA based players.Carter's Choice wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 9:50 amThe Springboks should have been here, regardless of the result of this match. I'd be amazed if this is anything other than a massacre. Argentina peaked at the '15 World Cup in terms of results and performances, it's been all downhill from there. Their talent pool is shallow, they'll be shorn of any of their European players and they haven't played all year afaik. You should be able to send out the 'Naki U9s and get the win.Jerome_Kaino wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 9:43 am Will be interesting to see whether the Springboks were right to skip the RC. Argentina have struggled more often than not in the Rugby Championship, even with their best players available. The fact that they have turned up and are having a go, rather than stayed home and made excuses, means that they are absolute champions in my booksockwithaticket wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 10:38 amI'd be amazed if this is anything other than a massacre. It will be interesting only from the point of view of what sort of dumbfuckery Fozzie will come up with this week.
Its an indictment on him that most AB fans couldn't be even bothered commenting on Saturdays piss poor performance.
Ignoring him is the worst sort of criticism, and a reflection on his standing as AB coach.
He's that meh.

Like him or not we are stuck with Foster. And I hope he grows into the role. We have no evidence that he has the knowledge or skills to lead this team, but we can only hope. Unfortunately he has also surrounded himself with 'yes' men who know that the best way to improve their career prospects is to be fully compliant and do everything that they are told.obelixtim wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 10:50 am It will be interesting only from the point of view of what sort of dumbfuckery Fozzie will come up with this week.

If Fozzie continues to perform as expected, his henchmen will be axed when he is. Need a completely new broom after this tenure is over.Carter's Choice wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 10:55 amLike him or not we are stuck with Foster. And I hope he grows into the role. Its just a pity he will drag the ABs down with him. The NZRU have only themselves to blame.

Don't be silly. One of his assistants, probably Plumtree, will be the NZRU's preferred candidate.obelixtim wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 11:07 amIf Fozzie continues to perform as expected, his henchmen will be axed when he is. Foster for 8 years, followed by Plumtree, McLeod and Mooar for 8 years each. Hopefully Scott Robertson is still keen to throw his hat in the ring in 32 years time, and is still getting decent results at that stage.

Full strength please. I don't care how much we're 'expected' to beat the Pumas by, surely this should be more about embedding combinations than giving everyone a start. It would be nice to have a cohesive midfield and a coherent loose trio before 2023.
He'll prolly have Jordie McBarratt at first five this week.mrbrownstone wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 11:50 pm Full strength please. I want to see the BC#3 team or something very close to it as the preferred starting XV for basically every match, with some fine tuning in the bench and for injuries.mrbrownstone wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 11:50 pm Full strength please. Would be surprised to see Argies come within twenty here, the COVID factor is the only thing making me hesitate for a higher margin (expect the ABs to brush off last week)
And on the 7th day, the Lord said "Let there be Finn Russell".

Moody declared fit after getting knocked out at Eden Park.
Kudos to Argentina, their players have been in Australia for what must feel like a year. Similar to the warriors in the Nrl the sacrifices they've made should be publicly acknowledged by the other teams/unions. They're on a hiding to nothingness are stepping up to make sure the governing bodies actually have some income this year

I think Laulala's also available, which is a relief given Ofa's likely to be gone for the rest of the 3N.Monkey Magic wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 5:49 am Moody declared fit after getting knocked out at Eden Park.

The good news is three-fold: Moody and Laulala are available and Tu’ungafasi is very likely to be unavailable.
Why is there always the need to change the all blacks starting 15?
1. Is it to rotate and keep players fresh?
2. Is it to keep players happy by ensuring most get a chance to start?
3. Is it that the coaching staff is not sure about who the best 15 players are?

Fixxed.
Foster has gained a lot of experience by being in the all black coaching team for a few years. I think one need to give him a few years in the head coach role to have enough time to implement his gameplan.obelixtim wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 11:05 am4. I don’t like Foster, but he didn’t pioneer this approach and neither has he been the worst. Anyone remember Henry splitting the abs into two teams for Ireland and Argentina?obelixtim wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 11:05 am4. Richie back to 10, Jordie out, Jordan too (his concussion looked bad), BB to 15, clarke and reece wings, reiko basically did shitall last game except score and easy try, same for laumape Besthue back at 12..keep ALB, bring back Sneaky, ARDIE, HOSKINS AND CANE BACKROW, WHITELOCK/PT locks and front row of Coles/big karl and hodgman.. dmack on the bench NO JORDIE.. argies love kic/chasing stuff and Jordie is a cart horse compared to their back 3..

If Lowe was eligible and playing in NZ, would you guys have him to start this weekend? He seems like the wing option the AB’s are missing atm (especially with Bridge injured).
In place of Clarke, I shouldn't think so.Jerome_Kaino wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 1:25 pm If Lowe was eligible and playing in NZ, would you guys have him to start this weekend? He seems like the wing option the AB’s are missing atm (especially with Bridge injured).

No not in place of anyone, he was a good Super player, but that's about it.Magpie26 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 2:18 pmIn place of Clarke, I shouldn't think so.Jerome_Kaino wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 1:25 pm If Lowe was eligible and playing in NZ, would you guys have him to start this weekend? This. He wasn't bad, but inconsistent and prone to the occasional costly brainfart.Dan54 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 8:08 pmNo not in place of anyone, he was a good Super player, but that's about it.Magpie26 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 2:18 pmIn place of Clarke, I shouldn't think so.Jerome_Kaino wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 1:25 pm If Lowe was eligible and playing in NZ, would you guys have him to start this weekend? LOWE just like Akhee were average chiefs players who went on to play for an average tier 1 team, could say the same for anscombe and parkes, All Black rejects is the correct term..NZ have better wings otions that can bring on if they lost reece and clarke and reiko todayGumboot wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 6:41 pmNo.Jerome_Kaino wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 1:25 pm If Lowe was eligible and playing in NZ, would you guys have him to start this weekend?
Charles Piutau on the other hand... was a class All Black who should never have been allowed to escape ...stemoc wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 11:20 pmLOWE just like Akhee were average chiefs players who went on to play for an average tier 1 team, could say the same for anscombe and parkes, All Black rejects is the correct term..NZ have better wings otions that can bring on if they lost reece and clarke and reiko todayGumboot wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 6:41 pmNo.Jerome_Kaino wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 1:25 pm If Lowe was eligible and playing in NZ, would you guys have him to start this weekend?

Three weeks for Ofa Tuungafasi’s. That’s par for the course these days and compares to four weeks for Swinton. Swinton’s looked the worse of the two tackles at the time so that seems a fair reflection in penalty (not being aware of comparative previous records).
Nah, I reckon Charlie Faumuina and Victor Vito were the only overseas guys the All Blacks truly missed since 2015. The rest of them were sooner or later replaced by superior players.Grandpa wrote: ↑Wed Nov 11, 2020 12:13 amCharles Piutau on the other hand... was a class All Black who should never have been allowed to escape ...stemoc wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 11:20 pmLOWE just like Akhee were average chiefs players who went on to play for an average tier 1 team, could say the same for anscombe and parkes, All Black rejects is the correct term..NZ have better wings otions that can bring on if they lost reece and clarke and reiko today
