Depends if they win or not
The Official Scottish Rugby Thread
No way will I reopen that wound, I've enough heartache following rugby as an Edinburgh and Scotland supporter.
I used to be obsessed as a kid, now I can't name one Scotland player.
I haven't watched a game in years but quite excited about this. I pulled out of going to France '98 at the last moment consoling myself that I'd go to the next one...Tichtheid wrote: ↑Thu Nov 12, 2020 9:39 am

I have a theory anyway. We qualified for everything when the vast majority of the team were Mc's and Mac's but the last couple of decades there have been very few in the team. I was pleased to see this team has a generous sprinking and my theory proven conclusively.

I know I shouldn't do it, we've been here before, but this time round...I genuinely think our kabaddi boys have a real chance in Myanmar tonight.

That was Cocker's criticism last year was it not, that he hadn't hit his weight target. He was a good U20 player alongside Matt Smith and Jamie Richie but seemed to fall behind. He always seemed on a similar skill level so presumably that was due to his perceived lack of size. If Edinburgh/Cockerill see him as an 8, that might explain why they felt he needed that extra bulk.robmatic wrote: ↑Thu Nov 12, 2020 6:50 amI didn't see much of Monday night's game because of the streaming issues but Miller seems to have bulked up a bit since last season?Tichtheid wrote: ↑Wed Nov 11, 2020 11:48 pmMiller played 8 on Monday and played it very well. He's not quite as big as Crosbie, but has a similar frame, these guys, like Ritchie, are athletic rather than bruisers, their game is about pace rather than hard yards in confined spaces, though they call all do that it's certainly easier if you're coming in at 120kg+Yr Alban wrote: ↑Wed Nov 11, 2020 9:31 pm Cheers. Aware of Bradbury, obviously, but he’s definitely a 6/8 rather than a specialist. Do like him as a player though. Haven’t seen a lot of Crosbie, though people have always been very positive on here and I’ve been waiting for him to get a chance. I meant more the guys who are just starting to get game time (the Millers, Boyles, Darges and Gordons).
Boyle, Darge and Gordon are similar to Matt Fagerson in height, all around the six foot mark and can play across the back row, Darge played 8 for the U20s as well as 7, but he's listed as a blindside for Edinburgh.

I know better than to back Scotland in a must win game of anything.

Just a few months for them to come up with a new way to totally fuck up the group stage of a tournament.
The Croatia and Czech games are at Hampden and the England one at Wembley, should be a hell of a few weeks. Hoping these restrictions are lifted by then as I'd love to be back for for an extended holiday to watch these games.
And on the 7th day, the Lord said "Let there be Finn Russell".
Every reason to be optimistic for next summer.

So i take we are now going to be campaigning to ban all spectators from professional sport, we are ace when there is no one watching.
Typical that we could have had 2 events that would have had the pubs absolutely bouncing with the result and we are nae allowed in them.

Given our ponchance for drinking, injecting, smoking all manners of poison you would have thought there wouldnt be the same barriers to rolling out the vaccine in Scotland, just start spreading the rumour that you get a nice wee buzz from the new jab...
Hopefuly the rugby team celebrated a bit too hard and will be too hungover to play tomorrow
Congrats on the win
Hard to tell what the ticket allocation will be. Normally in a championship you’d expect about a third to each team and a third to go elsewhere (neutrals/sponsors/corporate etc) but given the way this tournament is set up I don’t know what they’ve done about hosts getting extra tickets. You’d hope that Scotland would get 20k at least given it’s a 90k stadium.
And are there two g’s in Bugger Off?
I was thinking more about how many will travel down without a ticket to party in London for the weekend - I presume they would set up a fan zone etc. I'm thinking many thousands will go down for the weekend after 22 years!Biffer wrote: ↑Fri Nov 13, 2020 9:19 amHard to tell what the ticket allocation will be. MOst tickets already allocated/sold apparently. According to the radio only 10% left to go for the teams that qualify.
