Of course many nurses have already worked far beyond their ordinary patterns throughout this crisis and must be pretty close to complete burnout.
All that clapping in the Summer didn't help them? Lazy tarts.
Shocking isn't it?
New risk assessments have hit the NHS in the last couple of weeks (or at least they have round her). Out of Mrs Saint's team 5 nurses have been deemed to be too high risk themselves to see patients. That's nearly 50% of the team, but they're still required to deal with the same patient load - and they haven't completed the flu vaccination cycle yet

I agree the days IH chases to make the direct comparisons which are useful to track progress or other wise seem to only happen when it’s apparent bad news.

How charming. Why are you so scared of numbers and facts ? How facts are “sick” is an odd one though.

That's because PCR tests search for signs of the Covid-19 virus's genetic material, while antigen tests search for one of the viral proteins, or a small trace of the virus's presence.

...

"While the scientific community agrees that no diagnostic test is perfect, we stand behind the quality, utility and science of our system," the statement reads. "There are many factors that could lead to a discordant result...As we clearly state in our instructions for use, negative results should be considered in the context of a patient's specific situation and confirmed with a molecular PCR assay if necessary for patient management."

There will be over 3000 deaths recorded this week and the nutter is all about the 'good news' - :bimbo: seek help.

No the full term labelled good is “fewer deaths” , I was very careful with that. Looking at the attacks on that statement does make one wonder.

pathetic, even by your low standards.

Seeing as this is a covid thread, its quite reasonable to assume the 3000 I was referring to are Covid related deaths, but of course, you know that.

Very lame attempt to deflect based on irrelevant symantics.

I’m deflecting nothing, my statement was absolutely clear what the good news was. That you huddle around these covid deaths like you do is quite odd. The point I was it seems adequately making was ; that you make a clearly incorrect point regarding what I’ve posted for some sort of effect, and at the same time expose your crazy.

Who are you saving?

I am sure posters will let us know if they feel they are less scared now, as you assert after reading your posts.

Mr Narcissism please tell us who are these scared posters?

The modest husband and wife team behind the Pfizer vaccine
It should really read "behind the BioNTech vaccine", but there ya go.

https://www.stuff.co.nz/world/europe/30 ... llionaires
At 8pm November 8, the phone rang with the call Ugur Sahin, chief executive of the German medical start-up BioNTech, had been anxiously awaiting.

"Are you sitting down?" Pfizer chief Albert Bourla asked him.

The news that followed was better than Sahin had hoped: Preliminary analysis from Phase 3 trials of his company's coronavirus vaccine showed 90 per cent protection.

"I was more than excited," said Sahin, speaking to The Washington Post over video call from his home in the western German city of Mainz.

...

When the interim Phase 3 results came in, Tureci said they took her by surprise. "As a scientist, I'm very cautious and tend to be a bit pessimistic," she said.

Sahin said the news was "extremely relieving”.

The United States had already ordered 100 million doses, with an option for 500 million more. The European Union on Wednesday agreed on an order for an initial 200 million.

Amid the whirlwind of publicity, tweets from President Donald Trump have brought some bemusement. "Complete nonsense" is how Sahin describes the accusation that the companies sat on the results until after the election.

And as for Trump's claims of credit: "I'm not sure where the US government would have had input in this," Tureci said.

...
