What about Ollie Griffiths?
Pivac: "We’re not looking at someone for a one-off game. It’s about the future and 2023 game.
"So giving James Botham and Shane Lewis-Hughes this game is more important."
At least until Pivac fucks off next year...

This is making Gypocaust look a golden era circa 1978
Hard to feel anything except dread for this one. Attack not firing, creaky set piece, prone to defensive errors and playing some raw or mediocre players in key positions. It looks to me like a team that will tackle its heart out, keep it tight for 60 minutes despite never threatening and lose by plenty in the end.
That said, when I was a bookie I always used to be wary when everyone predicted the same result - it tended to mean the book got driven too far in one direction and meant there was value in backing the underdog. These days I'm less interested in whether Wales can beat the spread, and more whether they can defy expectations with the performance. We have to put some attack together this time otherwise it'll be grim.

Gentlemen, I have a confession to make. Half of what we have taught you is in error, and furthermore we cannot tell you which half it is
Just a little thought experiment:
Who'd win - The Wales team on Saturday vs this one (coached by Howley / Mcbride for the LOLs):
1) Nicky Smith
2) Sam Parry
3) Tom Francis
4) Will Rowlands
5) Seb Davies
6) Ollie Griffiths
7) Tom Young / Jac Morgan
8) Aaron Wainwright
9) Rhodri Williams
10) Jarrod Evans
11) Owen Lane
12) Keiron Williams
13) Owen Watkin
14) George North
15) Rhys Patchell

Look, we have all seen our 1st team players play awful, dull, losing rugby and not turn up, lots of times.
Having the full team is not a guarantee of anything.
Fact is they are not that great.
They walk on like they are expecting to win and like the opposition should buckle before them on sight,..and then crumble after 15 minutes.
We need half of us to be a bit of a scared, edgy half assed, crazy ragtag army.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if we pull it off.

That team would be a huge nuisance at the breakdown - Smith jackals well, Parry and Wainwright are useful at the breakdown, Griffiths and Young/Morgan are all fantastic at it. North, Keiron Williams and Watkin all are turnover threats - Watkin more for ripping than jackalling, but still the potential for turnover ball would be much higher in this team than the one we are putting out.
I'd select domachowski, Tomos, Conbeer, Ben thomas and push kieron out wide, and it would win comfortablyP in VG wrote: Thu Nov 26, 2020 1:58 pm Just a little thought experiment:

Forgot Tomos is back. Domachowski & Conbeer can go on the bench for their debuts.Theflier wrote: Thu Nov 26, 2020 2:08 pm

Not sure Ben Thomas is ready - he can train with the squad - but he's not in the match day 23
He ain't, but he could still be part of a team which could beat that Welsh XV, its a Scarlets tight 5 and 10 has beens or never weres.P in VG wrote: Thu Nov 26, 2020 2:18 pmForgot Tomos is back. Domachowski & Conbeer can go on the bench for their debuts.Theflier wrote: Thu Nov 26, 2020 2:08 pm

Saes Team in:
England: Daly; Joseph, Slade, Farrell, May; Ford, Youngs; M Vunipola, George, Sinckler, Itoje, Launchbury, Curry, Underhill, B Vunipola.
Replacements: Cowan-Dickie, Genge, Stuart, Hill, Earl, Willis, Robson, Watson.
Should be pretty straightforward

Condemned men have no respect for their executioners, nor do they worry about the process. They do however, bitterly resent the ineptitude of the judge and jury that shackled them to their fate.GogLais wrote: Thu Nov 26, 2020 8:23 pmTreating us with respect then, must be worried.frodder wrote: Thu Nov 26, 2020 7:48 pm Saes Team in:

Well it might have lit a fire had it not been so powerfully countered by Ianto’s Taxis from Crumlin tweeting “Good luck wales”GogLais wrote: Sat Nov 28, 2020 1:26 pm I see British Airways have got into some trouble for wishing England luck. That'll be incendiary material for the team talk.

They do but they’ve apologised and withdrawn the tweet. Twisted knickers. What became of Cambrian Airways anyway?
Yes, but they did not just say good luck England they posted "Good luck England against Wales"
But Dave's coaches have rebuked BA on Twitter to even things up.
Didn't Cambrian Airways become part of British Airways?GogLais wrote: Sat Nov 28, 2020 3:28 pmThey do but they’ve apologised and withdrawn the tweet. Twisted knickers. What became of Cambrian Airways anyway?
Anyway they apologised for the tweet which is somehow a great victory than any game of rugby.

Italy are on good form, and I like Canna despite being shit, you know he'll lose you most games, but every now and then he'll be unplayable.
