Some high cloud but no wind and could get nice and warm today. Full day ahead.
Cheers, are you attending the game at any stage, Enz?
No. I am taking a drug to settle the nerves in my back and legs (from the back injury) and it reacts funnily to direct sunlight,

Going to the rugby tomorrow night instead

Comment re KW on cricinfo
Simon: "Here's a stat for you - since 2017 Kane Williamson has averaged 60.48 in test cricket, an impressive stat by itself, however his weakness has been susceptibility early. If he gets past just 5 runs his average leaps up to massive 93.90!"

The skipper gets his double ton. A superb innings, sheer class throughout.

The Windies bowling has been pretty tight today.

And Roach gets Mitchell as I speak.

A third double ton for KW .

That stat about his average is crazy - get him early or pay the price.

Definitely upping the tempo. It will be interesting to see if Jamieson joins in.

Jamieson is the batsman that Southee could have been.

Kane superb always. Jamieson looks like he could develop into a handy 7, which would be nice to allow us to play 4 genuine quicks + a spinner.

Tim Seifert and Glenn Phillips have both brought up 100s against West Indies A too. Can't remember a time we've had so much depth when you think of who's not in this team: Watling, Patel, Conway, CDG, Ferguson, Henry, Phillips, Santner. Genuine bench strength for once.

The weather doesn't know what it wants to do this morning. Seems to be building up slowly to some wet stuff.

Cricinfo have just published this as one of their viewers/readers comments.
Scott Watson: "Loving following the commentary from the deck of my boat in the sunny Marlborough Sounds, nothing better than giving the boat a deep clean in the morning, putting your feet up and following the cricket"

I've been watching this test off and on throughout, and I'm yet to see a wicket fall live. Maybe I should change channel for a while?
