Can we change the header colour (and size), the purple for user names is hard to make out and looks a bit trash. Someone else mentioned about halving the header size ... agree.

It’s OK, but not as appealing as the one we’ve had up until now. What’s that one called?

The original is called Warm Sunset, there are about 18 preset schemes, and also the ability to customise my own. Needless to say some of the presets are awful, bright yellow for example i will never use, bright green, and red too.

Prefer today's colour but not overly fussed, any way you can make it half the size though, it seems a huge waste of space.

Top NPR banner has changed colour 3 times this morning. Back to normal (and best so far) at present.

You would guess wrong. It’s a reference to one of our early resident loonies, Coogee, and a typo of his that stuck I think. Other mentalness attributed to him was:
Making up he had died in a road accident and logging in as his partner to break the bad news
Being accused of being a peado because he kept going on about how big his daughters boobs were
Numerous anti Muslim posts about king hitting them
Saying he was in a made up pub waiting for a cabal

Am sure there was other weirdness from him that I’ve forgotten

In this case Bear Pit is more a metaphor for the bored which is defined as "an unusually aggressive political arena, in which direct, heated attacks are common" :-)

I know the loonies like Coogie, Dozy and Quent* were a royal PITA for the mods, but the bored was very entertaining when they were around.

*Honourable mentions to DAC, TMAB, Gort and MissI - sure there were more who lost the plot on occasion too.

My fave loon was Bill, who would have a row or word to say to anyone. His place was eventually taken by Bimboman who somehow never had quite the same penache or humour.
