Must have had too much Pinot Noir, etc. Why else did I end up watching Blankety Blank?

S4C 9:35 ish. I'm trusting the BBC won't spoil it for me by announcing the result on the main news this evening.

Glazing over that illegal rip on the ground which should be a pen try.

Gri reading in the TRP, there is no further hope for surgery based recovery for Anscombe

Bad news regarding Anscombe then, I don't think he'll play again imho. A real shame for him

That’s a bugger. Seemed a trivial incident at the time, if I remember correctly.

One wonders how capable the surgeons being used are. Jonathon Davies and Scott Williams are slow as can be and Ellis Jenkins and Anscombe look unlikely to ever come back

That's hugely encouraging given the dire prognosis only a few days ago. Genuinely hope he can get back to full fitness (albeit as an 'O', but more importantly at international level ); he's quality, and a sound bloke by all accounts too.

That Basham is very good

He's like James Davies, if James Davies was nearly as good as the turks say he is

Poor by holmes there, but he doesn't exactly get a lot of exposure to finishing in the dregs team so forgiveable

Jonah Holmes showing why he got called up to the international squad... Then showing why he'll never get a big number of caps. Should have trusted Owen Jenkins against Dan Jones.... Even if he's shit.

I know he's more elusive than quick but it was amazing how easily Luke Morgan overhauled him last week.

Call me old fashioned, but I like my wingers fast, strong and able to capitalise on the game plan, not lone wolf, arrogance first, play

That was pretty fucking dreadful. Lack of ambition being the biggest issue. Even worse than some of the handling.

In the first half we've had Basham, Holmes, Morgan, Ball and Elias off injured plus a couple of HIAs. I know it's a physical sport but it isn't a terribly fierce game.
