They shouldn't all need in a backline together. You can cope with one or two squad fillers.... I'd rather risk youngsters like Rio dyer or Owen (from the start).
If the man wasn't rooted in the nepotist hell hole that is welsh rugby, he'd have been fired years ago,. A gogole search of his a highlight reel of cancer. You'll all be glad to know I move to bristol Monday, and I may embrace my mothers nationality for the rose

For shame
I dont usually feel qualified to comment on refereeing but I thought the Lydiate/Tovey forensic examination of the initial point of contact thing was ridiculous. Smacking somebody in the chops with a raised arm isn't so bad if you graze their shoulder first. Really, is that how it's meant to be?

Nice to see Anscombe back up and running
Gentlemen, I have a confession to make. Half of what we have taught you is in error, and furthermore we cannot tell you which half it is
Seemed like a decent bloke but he hasn't done that much with a better squad than previous years. If they get the right coach there's a lot of young talent there. If it wasn't for the overarching grimness of Welsh rugby finances it would be a good time to come in.
Sam Davies still going to be out for the Ospreys game...so I guess we'll see Josh Lewis at 10 again. Hope someone reminds him that he has options other than lumping it down the pitch. Saw this quote from Dean Ryan...
We could really do with a young 10 to step up and surprise us right now. If we don't get some control back in our game, the promise of some of the early performances this year could quickly dwindle away.
'Doing justice to where' Josh Lewis is based on last week's performance would involve pulling some curtains around him and administering a boltgun in as humane a fashion as possible. He's played alright for us at times, mainly at 15 this season, so last week was hopefully just an aberration, but I hate to see that performance praised. I'm hoping that is some man management from Ryan, knowing he needs him this week, rather than him genuinely thinking that was an acceptable performance from a professional 10..."We really Josh Lewis [sic] and I thought that he played well last weekend; him and Tavis Knoyle were a good combination.
"For some time we have been dependent on Rhodri Williams and Sam, so this is a time when we need to grow some people underneath.
"Part of that is around getting some competition for Sam – I am not in a rush to get him back on the field. That's not in Sam's best interests and it's not doing justice to where Josh is at the moment."

I'd be nice for there to be an emergency draft system to even out the talent throughout the regionspenguin wrote: ↑Tue Jan 05, 2021 3:20 pm Sam Davies still going to be out for the Ospreys game...so I guess we'll see Josh Lewis at 10 again. Plenty of young 10s warming the bench at Scarlets & Blues, 4x good hookers at the Ospreys etc..
(It'll never happen - just a pipe-dream)
With the benefit of getting them some game time in some cases. Costelow could have had a lovely time down here in the East of Wales, rather than waiting for O'Brien to get out of the way.

He was fudging useless
Pretty bloody terrible quality. Lack of ambition to play, error filled and missing star power, particularly in the 10 shirts. Way too much kicking. A real shame as there was some decent talent wasted on the wings.
Now there's an evergreen comment when it comes to Welsh rugby.
Making clean breaks isn't in the Dragons game plan. Mind you neither is passing, tackling or generally scoring of any sort.
Sorry to hear about Smith - really like him as a player, but delighted to hear Navidi and Jenkins are on the way back. Coming hot on the heels of the Anscombe update, it's great to see.On the Cardiff Blues fitness front, back rowers Josh Navidi and Ellis Jenkins both trained fully yesterday and are not far away from returning. The Blues now have a date in mind for Jenkins’ long-awaited comeback, which is great news.

Unfortunately, Blues centre Garyn Smith requires knee surgery and will be out for five to six months. Fly-half Jarrod Evans is fit again though and available for Saturday's game against the Scarlets at CCS.
