Sards, listen boet, I don't want you to have a chip on your shoulder about WP/Stormers. Let it go boet.
You're in the finals, this is a time to enjoy your rugby, not fret about how far behind on the list of CC Champions you are.

University rugby didn't help Province. You lot need to move out of amateur rugbyOomStruisbaai wrote: ↑Fri Jan 29, 2021 8:12 amHow many of them are in your match day 23 for the final?FalseBayFC wrote: ↑Thu Jan 28, 2021 4:47 pmNohamba, Jordan and Jaden Hendrickse, Fez Mbatha, Phepdi Buthelezi , Celempilo Gumede, Caleb Dingaan ball played junior boks last couple of years.
The Bulls and WP have developed by far the most PoCs via their youth structures the last decade.
The Sharks poach the senior lot from the Cheetahs, Kings, Pumas, Griquas and the WP old age homers. They dont have a team in the Varsity Cup which is nowadays the fabric of rugby players.
Thats why they need those investments.
I hate to be the one pointing this out, but look, again you are posting about WP. You are playing the Bulls in the CC final, yet WP is all you can think about.
Do you feel that knife in your back.......I am enjoying it , again , year after year ....suck it up buttercup

Strange the JW and the team seem more interested in luring older white players back to Pretoria than investing in developing young black players from the local environs.

My cousin's stepson's best mate was the brother of B.J. Botha who was getting a reputation as very good scrummager as prop. As they went down to scrum against the Bulls, Victor Matfield punched him and broke his jaw, putting him out for a few weeks and effectively ending his Springbok career.
I think he ended up playing for Munster.

The Sharks....at the forefront of proffessional rugby in South Africa......TheNatalShark wrote: ↑Fri Jan 29, 2021 10:39 am Haven't come across many supporters yet that are glad the Sharks have an increasingly representative team of pop.
Those interested enough in discussing just go through another avenue, ie 'they aren't all local", to try and justify their "views" and make the demo out as negative and simply representative of quotas or government interference. They rarely care about the local production lines when it comes to white players, and if they do, are willing to just joke about it rather than spew vitriol.
Not that I am levelling that at anyone here
I for one am glad. Our best players, in my opinion, are black. I'm glad they are good and have had chances at the Sharks. Call me if whatever.
Western Province has 3 Natal schooled players of colour in their Currie Cup squad as well as plenty of Boland, Border and Eastern Cape kids. Paarl Gym, Boys, Pail Roos and Maties are not actually part of the Western Province sporting area. Should be Boland.Sards wrote: ↑Fri Jan 29, 2021 10:47 amThe Sharks....at the forefront of proffessional rugby in South Africa......TheNatalShark wrote: ↑Fri Jan 29, 2021 10:39 am Haven't come across many supporters yet that are glad the Sharks have an increasingly representative team of pop.

Thanks for that...we will bear that in mindhandyman wrote: ↑Fri Jan 29, 2021 11:47 am Ok look, the saarks chatter on here is mostly : WP is kak, WP is bankkrot, WP this, WP that.
Time for some proper rugby talk.
Key match ups :
Gqoboka vs Du Toit : Advantage Bulls if the game is loose, but finals rarely are, scrumming more important, so advantage saarks.
Van Staden vs Richardson : Advantage Bulls by a long, LONG way. To me, the clincher.
Vermeulen vs Notshe : Advantage Bulls. Notshe is a bigger asset when the game is loose, possibly of the bench as well. Vermeulen is a beast and will lift for the final.
Steyn vs Bosch : Even. Steyn is the old hand and used to pressure games, Bosch longer with kicks out of hand and to touch. If I had to choose, it would be Steyn.
White vs Everitt : Advantage Bulls. Jake's been there, done it, got the t-shirt and sold it to Everitt. White has won the RWC, Everitt has resorted to dodgy tactics to avoid WP to get to the final.

Just a pity we didn't see much of it last Saturday.
Hopefully that will be rectified tomorrow.

If you read what I posted, I said "Just a pity we didn't see much of it last Saturday." I thought the implication was clear, but apparently not.Chilli wrote: ↑Fri Jan 29, 2021 1:36 pmYes. Nohamba passes (poorly) to Bosch. Bosch kicks the ball away.
Or, a bit more joyous to watch;
Che Guevara pass to Bosch. Bosch kicks the ball away.

If you are seriously suggesting that Nkosi, Mapimpi, Fassi and Mvovu are not worth watching, then you are entitled to your opinion, but I can't say I agree.
