Took a while to start, the first few minutes were turgid and unimaginative. Those hard inside lines make such a difference.

But the actual passing was some of the best that Italy have produced

Italy under Smith are a massive upgrade on O’Shea’s lot

Dunno. Wait till final score. Still no end product so far.

Italian 15 could have jumped on that, surely?

They’ll get thumped here but they are clearly a better side thinking about how to set themselves up as well. We saw this in the Autumn

The halfbacks are very young and bound to make mistakes but they are already showing more promise than Allan, Canna, Gori or Violi

Happy enough with that 1st half given that Italy did a lot, very well for extended periods.

Still don't get Vincent. Ordinary club player in an awful Montpellier side.

Despite the score, i think there are quite a few positives for Italy. Just a lack of composure and experience letting them down. They are playing with no fear and definately making some dents in France, give this group a couple more years together and they will become very competetive.

Agree and it's great to see. If they can just cut down the fatal error count, I don't think they are a million miles off.

Pity about the disallowed try.

If the Italian 15 had shown some nous this would be a reasonably close game. Feel like Italy are back to being a factor in the 6N rather than a waste of time

Awful passing and tackling from Italy. France are hardly playing well, and still destroying them.

Have said this before: Italy have to play Canna at 12 (2nd 5/8th) to give them more options in the backline.
