Obviously can't blame Barnes directly, but so many rucks have happened this game where players have not entered correctly and it felt inevitable it would start escalating.

He doesn't run onto the pitch intending to injure someone; he just has a bad habit of getting the red mist, on the pitch.
No, he’s dirty. He’s been a cheap shot bastard for a long time and it’s no surprise to see him get sent off for a dirty shot.fishfoodie wrote: ↑Sun Feb 07, 2021 3:33 pmHe's not dirty; he's dense.I like neeps wrote: ↑Sun Feb 07, 2021 3:27 pm Peter O'Mahoney doing Peter O'Mahoney things. This is pitiful by Wales. Against 14 men you either
- keep the ball OR
- if you really want to kick it away [/O. Farrell], then play in the right areas
They've done neither.
PS North is so far over the Hill, Marco Polo could not find him.

You mustn't have watched rugby in the 70s & 80s if you think POM is a dirty player.Biffer wrote: ↑Sun Feb 07, 2021 3:46 pmNo, he’s dirty. Come on, that's a rubbish argument. It's a different sport now. We judge him by his peers.fishfoodie wrote: ↑Sun Feb 07, 2021 3:50 pmYou mustn't have watched rugby in the 70s & 80s if you think POM is a dirty player.Biffer wrote: ↑Sun Feb 07, 2021 3:46 pmNo, he’s dirty. Just seen the replay of the red card, no arguments there.

And in those days, someone taking the kind of cheap shots he does would have been sorted out very quickly. He’s not a hard man, he’s a cheap shotter

It's just for me to call a player, 'dirty', you're specifically talking about going out to injure someone; & that pretty much disappeared from the top level, with Professionalism.Paddington Bear wrote: ↑Sun Feb 07, 2021 3:53 pmWeird comparisonfishfoodie wrote: ↑Sun Feb 07, 2021 3:50 pmYou mustn't have watched rugby in the 70s & 80s if you think POM is a dirty player.
Every player cheats; but It's very rare to look at an incident; & immediately come to the conclusion that one player was out to injure another.
POM deserved the red, but I don't think there was any thinking about the incident on his part ... that's his problem.

Since red card
- Ire pens = zero
- Wal pens = 5
